Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO + Physical Attributes Fix

A little patch mod to make Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO and Physical Attributes work with each other. This overwrites a gui file that both mod use to change the character portrait window.

Load order does not really matter, as long as this mod overwrites them both. But for reference, my load order.

 

Load Order:

1. Physical Attributes
2. Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO
3. Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO + Physical Attributes Fix

If you encounter any issues, let me know.

Credits to the original mod authors for their work on these mods.

Looks like this prevents the "Filter" window from opening when you want to filter your courtiers or vassals, FYI.

I will look into this, probably due to the changes made, trying to get it done this week, so, lookout for updates.

i dont know if anythings wrong but my game is crashing when starting a game in iberia. The first struggle popup is crashing my game. if i load a game after the first popup window it works as intended. This mod is placed last in my load order. 

 

Im currently playing with iberia DLC disabled because if it lol.

Update: Was able to locate the button. There some side effect with mod.

@sagimine1 do u have "Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO" also in ur load order?

because this mod is "just" a fix on top of it. (as mentioned by Zlovebites)

I wondered myself and got the same results because I also forgot to do that.

 

But after I did that, my old friend the gamecrash came to me again.

(It is triggerd by the full screen overlay if u start as an iberian ruler after 3 days or become involoved at any point throughout the game.)

 

my solution to this, is/was deleting the "window_event.gui" and "window_event_bak.info" files in the old "Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO" mod from Tempmania.

You loose the iberian struggle icon on the bottom right and the one in ur alles/war window changes to a generic one.(if u're involved) But I found no other disadvatages/crashes

And because I can only mess with files but not fix them, maybe @ZLovebites can help resolve this. I tried once to make a complatibility patch with the original mod and BetterUI but gave up after a some hours.

 

PS: I suggest it would be better if u include the files from "Toggle Big Character Portrait Patch for Carnalitas and CBO" in ur mod. Its taken from bigrace(original creator) anyways and would make things easier all of us. (I think we have enough load order mess already)

From the gist of things, there is a total of two or three mods? This mod is to replace the compatibility of the original. Along with the original toggle mod? Or This mod, then the original compatibility and the toggle switch mod all together?

Then you dont need this mod. This is just a patch so that the toggle mod works with physical attributes.

When I run this, my windows shows my character twice - once normally, and once in the place of where their spouse would be. Anyone have ideas what might cause this?

You shouldn't be using this mod since about the last time i worked on it.
