HomeScreen503 Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Note this issue is occurring in Skyrim LE So I have a few mods that, under certain conditions, require the PC to not be wearing any light or heavy armor. The main issue is that a lot of good looking armor, or most importantly WIGS, are classified as light armor. I tried to download the Creation Kit through Steam, but whenever I try to launch it (tried launching through Steam and the .exe itself, but haven't figured out how to launch it through Vortex), it closes after a few seconds with no error message and I haven't found any solutions through google-fu. Anyone know of any solutions with regards to getting the Creation Kit to work, or any way to make it so that these mods don't pick up on the armor I'd like to wear? Appreciate any assistance
nilead Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 TES5edit allows you to change armor to clothing, bypassing CK entirely. Just change the corresponding keywords to clothing.

Just change the corresponding keywords to clothing. Any idea how to do this? I've got TES5edit open, do I just change the box where it says "Light Armor" and type in "Clothing" instead? Tried googling it and I can't seem to find a lot of the things they're talking about (flags and whatnot). All I see is the single box that talks about what the armor type is, and I'm not sure if changing only that is enough.

Then change the keyword too and change it into clothing like you will do with the armor type. should do the trick

As a side note cuz I think this will work with most mods, but any idea how to work with mods that detect ANY type of clothing but allow stuff from DD and jewelry? I'm not sure how they build those "permissions" so to speak and would like to be able to add more things to this list, but the in-game options to do so don't seem to work for me.

DD is scripted and i never tried to alter it in any way. that's a question for it's support thread i guess^^
