HDT hair constantly twitches

Hi, i've been having a prblem for some time where the hair on my character is constanlty twitching/jittering and every few seconds it sort of "resets" and gets into it's "original" position only to start all over again, also it hangs over the body without touching (i assume it's bc i have the wrong collisions).

 

i'm guessing this is happening bc i'm missing something pretty basic but i've been unable to figure out what it is, does someone know what the problem is?

How many fps your game is run at? HDT PE and HDT SMP physic will sometime go crazy if the game run at below 60 fps.

Can't say with certainty, but since you asked, I've seen it myself in my own player, and I *suspect* it's a first-order attempt at an auto-zeroing operation in the SMP or HDT loops to get rid of offset-error build up in order to (hopefully) prevent the "flyaway" condition that otherwise tends to plague certain HDT/SMP assets like hair and breasts.

 

Several things that might positively affect it

• reposition the player slightly. Sometimes their "physical position" exacerbates a "localized control instability"
• issue an SMP reset from console
• switch to CBPC mode and back to SMP mode

Not sure which SMP-HDT engine you're using, the original or the new improved "Faster" version. if using the older one, it's also possible  that the newer one might improve things. (Can't directly comment on that as I have not upgraded to Faster HDT-SMP yet)
