need help understanding my lastexception!! my games soo buggy

ive been in a love hate relationship with my sims games as of lately. 

 

disclaimer: ive got a messy mods folder but i keep all my gameplay mods separate from cc to make it easier on updating mods. as i know of all of my mods are up to date and so are my downloaded traits and aspirations. my game is also up to date and ive preformed not only a reinstall but also played in new saves and without mods and experienced the same issue. yes mccc is up to date!! yes ui cheats is too!! yes ww is too >_<

 

the issues:

  • my sims wont feed themselves anymore! i know other people are also experiencing this bug but they arent receiving the same error as i am
  • aspirations ui is broken in game (clicking to select new aspiration doesnt work)
  • my sims keep receiving aspiration points and completing ones they dont even have selected (i think its is due to an outdated or broken mod somewhere but for the life of me i cant find it)

Delete lastexception and just try removing MCC and see if you have the same errors. As much as this mod is updated, it is known to have conflicts with many others (I say this from experience)

the issues:

  • my sims wont feed themselves anymore! i know other people are also experiencing this bug but they arent receiving the same error as i am
  • aspirations ui is broken in game (clicking to select new aspiration doesnt work)
  • my sims keep receiving aspiration points and completing ones they dont even have selected (i think its is due to an outdated or broken mod somewhere but for the life of me i cant find it)

this one is my most recent one. reading the BE report labeled no mods affecting it >_<

ive checked all my traits and aspirations and everything is up to date and anything that wasnt good ive long removed it :D the trait_tracker issue persists even without any of the traits or aspirations installed so im not really sure what could be causing it

tried this - still persists :( ahhhh hopefully with the next update it begins to run better

Updates aren't likely to help unless you have another unknown Mod that hasn't been updated yet.

Some broken CC content never gets updated so...

 

Upload your last MC_lastexception.html file and maybe we can assist more.

The lastexception can be generated by any outdated mod, even a simple outfit is enough to generate one, or even by an action that should be performed (either by your sim or those managed by the game) that doesn't actually happen. Updating MCC or the mods or the game itself, would lead to more lastexception generated randomly all the time. I'm full of them but I don't even consider them, the game still works. In my opinion, don't be alarmed by these files, they don't affect the game itself, you may have some errors let's say of textures or actions that are not performed. In a nutshell, the lastexception are generated because the game was NOT made to work with mods. I myself have them on eye type/colour, sportswear and even WW. What does it change? Nothing, a few simple errors. 
In a nutshell, if the lastexception is generated by a mod such as a dress, just remove the mod and the problem is solved. The lastexception won't stop though, there will be more. The theory is, that to avoid them, you should update ALL mods according to the game version but the lastexception will appear again, just because the game was created without the help of mods.

Just to be explicit about what I said, I leave a string from a lastexception I had

 

"NEW ERRORS APPEAR AT THE TOP OF FILE"

Package Mods (606): -Kijiko-SET.package, 4w25_LollipopLipstick_PaleSkin.package, =RedAppleNet=.package, =RedAppleNet_LOGO=.package

Tuning Mods - (88 Duplicate Packages out of 6788 Total:

Look for the WickedWhimsInfoLog.log file and open it.

Scroll down past all your Mods/CC to find the entry: Possible Duplicates

It has a list of all your duplicate files so you can find and delete them.

 

Remove TMex Better Exceptions as MC_lastexceptions.html has a much better detailed error reporting system.

 

You have a bunch of Midnitetech Careers from 2020 so they might be broken so I'd remove them for further testing.

These are old also so check for updates.

Sometimes if you can't find the bad Mods/CC you have to remove all Mods and test with only Wicked + Animations and MCCC installed.

Then add mods back into game a few at a time until you get errors again so you can narrow it down further to find the problem.

When changing or removing Mods be sure to delete your localthumbcache.pkg after any changes are made to your Mods folder.

It contains old cached Game/Mods data that may no longer be installed.

Makes no sense as many Mods have error reporting included but some report errors pointing at other Mods error reports too.

But the point is lastexceptions are caused and reported for a reason meaning something is broken, outdated, conflicting, duplicates, unknown merged files, or mis-matched versions.

Don't bother mentioning random routing or object errors as those only happen on rare occasions.

Most ppl don't like having the LE's spamming their notification wall and filling it up in 2 minutes.

It means there's something wrong and should be fixed.

 

I have quite a few CC items and Script Mods installed and have no errors.

Other users have far more Mods/CC than I do and they can run without errors too.

Quite simple to find them by using the 50/50 mod removal method to narrow the problems down and find the culprit/s.

 

Game updates break Mods and some updates are worse than others, simple fact.
