muisner1 Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Hello it might not be the best Solution but it worked for me: Uninstall sexlab framework and sexlab mods. Install The Sexlabframework AE version [works in SE ] and install that version lf Sexlabframeworks. Download new all related sexlab mods you had and install them. Delete all saves start a new game and Should be fixed. 1

imtrolling Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 HEY EVERYONE. so it took me two entire days to figure all this out. (new to modding) but Basically if you are having any dll util problems at all with S lab. and you have the address library. Use the other version of Slab I followed the instructions and I have version 1170 (which it says to use the AE version for) 166b that is wrong. ITs still the older SE version that works. I had papyrus and slab dlls in the skse folder and they weren't finding them. Switch to the 163 version and re-ran the fnis BOOM no issues
Marguisa Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Got the same error message, I've installed the correct version, the file is in the correct location, but....alas...doesn't work

You're either using the wrong version of SL or the wrong version of Address Library. Check your executable version, then get matching SKSE, Address Library and SL files for that version.
skull jack5 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 So Ive been having the same issue. Had the correct address library installed as well as Sexlab and Skse. But still couldnt find SexlabUtil.dll. Here is how i fixed it. Went into my Skyrim Se folder. Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition. Went into Data/SKSE/Plugins then found SexlabUtil.dll deleted it and replaced it with a fresh one from the 7z folder. Now it works. Hope this helps others so path looks like Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/SKSE/Plugins 2

Just Don't Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 (edited) That's the same DLL that comes with the latest SL Framework release. Seriously, people will do anything but check the version of their games and get the corresponding mod versions. Edited January 25, 2025 by Just Don't
Ryongoliath Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 HELL YES THANK YOU THREAD PPL!! I fixed my issue by deleting and replacing SexlabUtil.dll with https://github.com/eeveelo/SexLab/blob/development/SKSE/Plugins/SexLabUtil.dll Had a clean install of Skyrim AE on my new laptop and was getting errors for SOS and Sexlab right from setup. ALL other files (Address Library, SKSE64, FNIS, SOS) were up-to-date with my AE version. I fixed SOS errors by instlling PapyrusUtil separately from Nexus, so I think there my be compatibility issues with the SLFramework 1.66b versions of Papyrus and SexlabUtils, so replacing these 2 might fix it. Happy modding and have fun, gamers! 1

Happy modding and have fun, gamers! You fixed your issue by doing the obvious thing that everybody with this should be doing, but for some stupid reason, everybody refuses to do: installing the correct version of the plugin for their game version and making sure nothing else is overwriting that correct version. That's it. Install the right version as indicated by the main post on the download page. The correct versions for pretty much everything are on the download pages. You really didn't need to install the SexLabUtil.dll from GitHub. The SexLabUtil.dll on GitHub's development branch is identical to the version included with the default SexLab Framework AE archive. Installing SexLab has always been dead simple and straightforward. You just have to put in the minimum effort to learn how the modding system in Skyrim works and how to properly work your mod manager. AKA, know the bare minimum. 1
padezaw Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 hi, I do not know if this is of any help to you but... I run: skyrimse V1.6.1170 skse 2.2.6 SexLabFrameworkAE_v166b.7z just fine. when I install SexLab Framework PPLUS - V2.15.6 - 1.5.97.zip the missing .dll pops up. SexLab Framework PPLUS is for skyrim ver 1.5.97 i think. I don't know if they have 1.6 ver or not.

In the mod staging area under SkyrimSE? I searched the skyrimSE folder steam but I can't find any of my mods listed in the MOD folder. Edited May 27, 2025 by padezaw

You're basically taking the same DLL from the main SL Framework which already works for your version of the game (assuming you got the file for 1.6.1170) and pasting it on top of the one P+ gave you (incompatible because you downloaded the wrong file). That's not the DLL P+ expects to find, that's the default SL Framework one. Just reinstall the correct file from P+. Edited May 28, 2025 by Just Don't
Pseudonym0 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I had the wrong version of pplus which was overwriting the correct version of sexlab, (needed 1.6.1170)
