About the Alternate actors mod.

I'm getting stuck on loading because of a code (changing my character gender) So I can't edit the character I want to... Any ideas ?

I'll try something making my character a girl then taking control of the NPC. I'll edit this to say if it worked.

[EDIT] Well I wasn't stuck on the loading anymore but... The follower I edited seems to have more scripts than I thought. I saved all the changes I made yet once back to myself she had not changed at all...

Any ideas on haw I can modify her (I'm beggining with all this and willing to learn)

1. Alternate Actors

2. ~showracemenu

3. press button to export facegen

4. exit player say yes to saving changes

5. download CK from STEAM>Tools>Creation Kit

6. Creation kit find (ex:) Ysolda and import savedata

7. Save plugin and make sure it's loaded by going to Nexus Mod Manager

8. On Ysolda press ctrl + f4 (or face will be brown)

9. Run Skyrim

Hi, I've been curious, is it possible to save the scalling of Racemenu on a NPC? I've tried the face and it worked fine with this day version of Alternate Actors, but when I came back to my body the scalings were on my character and the NPC went back to the default ones (save the face).

I don't know if some of are still interested, but I use Extensible Follower Framework. It's not supposed to do that, but if you have Racemenu, force the NPC into a follower with EFF (MCM button for that), be sure you have the "tattoo" plugin checked in MCM. Then choose in the dialog wheel Command -> more -> tattoo and BOOM, showracemenu on follower.

You can't use the camera to turn around but you can modify pretty much anything on the NPC.

Big thanks for the EFF tip. Worked well for uunp morphs + basic scales, but there's no racemenu sculpt or any face editing features. They aren't really neccessary, but that'll be cool to make slight modifications for followers. Do you lack face editing too? If you have racemenu sculpt or at least basic face and hair editing, could you please provide your plugins list?

Also Alternate actors have persistent feature that could save changes when you return back to player char, but for me it's conflicting with Death alternative and I can't just disable it.

neat Trick nexus763, did you report it to Expired ?

Given his orientation, he could be interested as to add to it (the camera limit in case).

Hum... Another solution would be to use Familiar Faces. You create a new game, make the dragonborn look like what you want. Save it into Familiar Faces (portal stone in misc inventory should be given at the start of the game), then you go back to "your" save, and use Familiar Faces mcm to assign a hangout to the saved character and invoke it as a NPC

Message sent. I asked for the possibility of the camera tool; and the possibility of a EFF plugin to use racemenu on a follower just like the dragonborn. Since the tattoo plugin already does that... let's hope. And since you can recruit anyone with the EFF feature for that, it would allow you to racemenu any NPC.

I'll follow up.

Cheers

bad english incomming...

1) for custom hair and eyes you have to make these hair/eye.esp files to esm files just use "wrye smash" and right click on the hair.esp and choose copy to esm you can then delete the esp files

2) go ingame and make a char with racemenu then export head and type "spf somename" in the console (also write down the eye/hairname) now tab out and go to your skse folder open the nif file with nifskope and look under BSFadeNode>NiNode BSFaceGenNINodeSkinned>NiTriShape FemaleHead...> if ther is a BSLightingShaderProperty entry if not go back in game and change the skin color slightly and do the export and spf again

3) load ck with the hair/eyes.esm's marked go to your npc right click edit then tab to "Character Gen Parts" and import the .npc file now change the hair and eyes to the ones you already choose in racemenu save it then mark the npc and press ctrl+f4

4) use "Nifmerge" drag&drop your "data/meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegeom/skyrim.esm/xxxxx.nif" (if there are more and you don't know witch one is your npc just look at the "Date modified") in the right side and your "SKSE/Plugins/CharGen/xxxx.nif" in the left one check "Merge Child Nodes" then click "Match by Vertex" and then "Merge to Target"

5) rename your "SKSE/Plugins/CharGen/xxxx.dds" to the npc's one and copy&replace it in "textures/actors/character/facegendata/facetint/skyrim.esm"

had a lot of trouble with wrong hair, grey face and invisible things but now it just works

that mod lets ya change just about any npc looks into another, or follower, or critter ect.

Damn ! I want to say I'm gonna try it. Buuuuut pretty deep into a new SkySE character for the time being.

Also, Expired just ignored me. So... I don't think he/she will do anything in EFF concerning NPC racemenu editing ingame.

:(
