Notification Settings on Loverslab

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing fine!

I am pretty new here (account is older, but never engaged in the community and just downloaded mods from here), and I have a question about the notifications. When someone messages me, the notification bell and the Messages section both give me a notification that something new happened. When I check both, they are both telling me about a new message.

Is there a way to hide new messages from the notification bell?

I mean if the messenger already tells me about it, I don't need the bell for it. Then I could identify better if it was a thing in the forums or just a message.

Thanks in advance for potential answers and have a great time ❤️

Click Messenger in the options and uncheck the box for Push and Popup Window (if it's checked)

I too receive both the 'Notification' and 'Message' pop.

However, I can say that the Messenger option you mentioned appears to have no bearing. Mine already is unchecked.

It may be possible that the notification system is receiving other signals like "Mentions & My Content: ... interacts with content you have posted" or something else. Otherwise, the option does appear to be broken and fixed to deliver PM notifications regardless.

Try checking and unchecking the notification setting. That fixed it for me.

That did it. Must be a flub between the UserCP's settings and whatever system generates notifications.
