jeano Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Woah I've been looking for a good VTMB nude mod! Thanks Big_Pimpin. Is there any way to just use the model/texture swaps and not install the true patch? I was hoping to use some newer gameplay mods on my next playthrough - it would be nice to do it with nude chicks as well lol.
zaroas Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 some important info its compatible withi win 10. so if u on win 10 it wont work it will crash your game when u go to start a game. the mod author has stated he refuses to modfy the .exe thats causeing the issue since he hates win 10 and dont care about the ones useing his mod. Where did you find that? I'm not using windows: Spyware edition, but I'm not aware of any source engine games that require a patch to run on windows 10, so I can't think of a reason this would be any different. Even if it was a problem, compativility mode usually fixes that kind of thing (for games.) What *will* crash your game is messing up the install, using the unofficial patch instead of truepatch, messing up the install of truepatch, forgetting to change/delete the command line in the shortcut, using the wrong exe, and probably more. Manual installs are messy. Follow the directions exactly, if you have the GoG version: About the GOG version... No promises, but: Wesp5 isolated his content changes to a subfolder, and most of his engine changes seem to be overwritten during the installation of True Patch Gold. Here is the procedure for installing TPG to the GOG version of Bloodlines (not my instructions, in case that wasn't clear) : 1. Install the game. 2. Open the game folder (C:\GOG Games\VtMB) and delete the folder "Unofficial_Patch". 3. Extract the True Patch Gold archive to your desktop or another location. 4. Inside the extracted folder, find and open the folder "TRUE_PATCH_MAIN". Copy the contents (the folders "Bin" and "Vampire" and the file "vampire.exe") to the game folder (C:\GOG Games\VtMB). When asked if you want to merge folders, check the box "Do this for all current items" and select "Yes". When asked about files, check the box "Do this for the next 226 conflicts" and select "Copy and Replace". 5. Right-click on the "VTM Bloodlines" shortcut on your desktop and click "Properties". In the Target box, delete this part of the line: "-game Unofficial Patch". Click "Apply", wait, and then click "Okay". 6. (Optional but recommended) Enable Clan histories: a. Open the game folder (C:\GOG Games\VtMB). b. Open the folder "Vampire". c. Open the folder "cfg". d. Open the file "autoexec.cfg" in Notepad. e. Delete the two slashes before "vchar_edit_histories" and save the file. This seems to be working for me on Windows 7 64-bit. I don't have Windows 8 or 10 to test. Move and look seem just a bit off to me, but that's probably because Bloodlines is older game, and it's been about 3 years since I last played it. Check out the truepatch forum page or the discussions on GoG, both of which contain these instructions (they worked for me) and possibly updates. Questions, do we do these steps with the megamod? is the latest true patch gold needed after installing the megamod? if yes, how?
sidfu Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 true patch gold dont work on win 10 even the mod author says it. when i tried to get it running all it would do is ctd when starting a new game. the unoffical patch works fine thou but it dont have the adult content.
zaroas Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Im using Win7 64, true patch gold should be ok for me problem is, do I install megamod first, then overwrite with gold, or vice versa? or maybe I should just install megamod? ah forgot to mention Im using GOG ver
Big_Pimpin Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Im using Win7 64, true patch gold should be ok for me problem is, do I install megamod first, then overwrite with gold, or vice versa? or maybe I should just install megamod? ah forgot to mention Im using GOG ver You could have read the readme included with the file that tells you how to install it and in what order. The only extra step is that you have to delete the current shorcuts extension " -unofficial_patch" so it's targeting the regualr vampire folder you installed everything into instead of the unofficial patch folder it targets by defualt. If the game crashes on startup and requests administrator permission, or crashes when you click new game and the crash log (which wil be in the VTMB folder) says there was an access violation then you might also have to run command prompt as an administrator (google it if you don't know how) and enter this line (also without the quotes) "sc config secdrv start= demand" Microsoft says it;s a security risk, so when you're done playing you should re disable it with "sc config secdrv start= disabled"
zaroas Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Sorry for not reading the readme first, also thanks for the helps it works for me now
Glinks Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Yes, using patches you can get VTMB running on windows 10. As far as I know, truepatch is not among them, at least if you want the fixes that were done with engine changes, which may or may not be important. Yeah, that's a bunch of bullshit. The only thing keeping true patch gold from working on windows 10 is finding it when all anyone talks about and links to is that mod from the other asshole that "patches" VtMB. Source: I use the True Patch on Windows 10. And how did you manage to do that?
DeathBringer0xL Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Question here. I am currently downloading the Mega Mod here. I have just installed VTM Bloodlines ( GoG ) Good Old Games version (DRM Free) Do I need to download the True gold patch, or can I just install this Mega Mod here and have it work?
DeathBringer0xL Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Okay, The mod works except two things. First when I click on it, It runs but nothing happens, double click the icon again, and the game runs. Other thing is that the game just does not run, it runs with an Absolute 100% CPU usage with an Absolute 0 change it in as long as the ( First exe is running - The one that runs before the game does. )
AwfulArchdemon Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Im using Win7 64, true patch gold should be ok for me problem is, do I install megamod first, then overwrite with gold, or vice versa? or maybe I should just install megamod? ah forgot to mention Im using GOG ver You could have read the readme included with the file that tells you how to install it and in what order. Maybe this is what's wrong with my game. Freezes when I start loading the game, new or not. I installed all patches (in order from the readme), but at first it wouldn't allocate the MBs (just wouldn't start at all, giving me an error saying it couldn't allocate the space), so I ran as admin (seems so unnecessary from my D drive), and that let the space allocate, but then the freezing thing happened, so I added the commands back to the exe shortcut to read from the unofficial patch folder again, and it worked totally fine. A bit surprising, considering the megamod is installed and overwrote files. If all I was missing was that one argument, I will be so pissed since I am like half-way through the game at this point. At least, I think I made it that far. At the point where I'm returning to Santa Monica after the Downtown area and the Elizabeth Dane. However far that is. Being this far, there's no way I'm gonna start a new game, which, from I read is mandatory as the game will crash trying to load a save with the megamod installed that wasn't using it at the beginning. Guess I'll just have to wait until I beat it and inevitably start a new game with the glorious Malkavian. So, you need to delete the line saying to read from the patch, you need to add the allocation line, you need to add the config secdrv line, I chose to add -High to the lines just in case....is there anything I should know? Any other things that'll freeze my game if I don't add them to the commands? I didn't download this big-ass mod for nothing.
LTD Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 OK, after hours of searching, I was able to install and launch the game on Steam successfully with the mod. I'm on Windows 7 64 so beware if you are using a 32bits version. 0/Buy the game on Steam and install it. 1/Download the true patch : https://anon.click/?http://www.tessmage.com/download.htm 2/Download VTMB mega mod 3/Extract the true patch somewhere, and delete the patch given vampire.exe and \Vampire\dlls folder. 4/Extract VTMB mega mod somewhere else, and delete the same things as in 3/ 5/Copy the true patch content in the game installation folder (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines), overwrite when asked. 6/Copy VTMB mega mod content in the game installation folder (\Steam\SteamApps\common\Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines), overwrite when asked. 7/Add Steam path to the system (see there for a good explanation). 8/Download the zipped vampire.exe from this link and extract to overwrite the original steam one 9/Create a desktop shortcut of the game exe (vampire.exe) and add -heapsize 840000 to the target. See VTMB readme file for more details. 10/Optional: Use a sweetfx preset for some eye candy 11/ Launch the game and play! Confirming these instructions for Windows 10. I think it's step 8 that does it, as it's not using an .exe that was that old-timey drm? I see icons for the true patch and modded outfits for the female PC options, so something is working, at least. I'll report back if I run into any problems as I get to playing this awesome game again. EDIT: took out the part where I was being dumb.

You were either willfully ignorant or didn't look hard. I realize this topic is almost a year old. But how about instead of accusing someone of lying, you literally look at their easily accessible website under support "patches" The author in many posts has displayed how much he hates windows 10. How much he refuses to use Windows 10, how he refuses to update for Windows 10 and the people who use windows 10 should downgrade to windows 7 to use his software.
Villiana Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 I'm really sorry for the necro, but I've got a quick question in regards to the Mega Mod. I'm running through Bloodlines again, but on my Steam setup I've got Unofficial Patch and I'm intending to try out Clan Mod. I'm aware that the Mega Mod doesn't work without True Patch, and I'm assuming that True Patch DEFINITELY doesn't work alongside Unofficial Patch, but I recall that, since Bloodlines is such an old game, you were able to just pull the files from Steam into a seperate folder and find yourself with a second install. Is that applicable these days, or will I have to do some shenanigans to have a Mega Mod version and a Clan Mod/Unofficial Patch version?
Uhuru N'Uru Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Had this from the download posted above, The ReadMe states Tessera's VTMB Mega-Mod (BETA) Initial release date: November 11, 2010 (beta) Final release date: December 17, 2010 Found this 2014 version Tessera's VTMB Mega-Mod 2014 VTMB 10th Anniversary Edition Initial release date of version #1: November 11, 2010 (beta) Original release date of version #2: January, 2012 So Clearly later Site also provides a Fix file to correct the bugs introduced by a W7 Update/W10, not tried it yet, but it's clearly updated compared to the above Beta The VBEP v1.0 post is dated 2017, section 3 is the TPB/Mega Mod section Vampire – The Masquerade – Bloodlines – Enhancement Project v1.0 Have fun On 10/22/2019 at 9:49 PM, Villiana said: I'm really sorry for the necro, but I've got a quick question in regards to the Mega Mod. Bit late but, it doesn't matter how new, or old a Steam game is, you can do that with all of them. If they need to launch through Steam, the game you want to run right now, must have the name Steam gave it, as that's what it expects. You can also keep old patched, and modded versions the same way Example: Assume the Game name Steam uses is VTMB (I have GOG version so it may not be that, but it doesn't matter for this example) You have 3 installs, Vanilla, UP, and TPG Named VTMB v1.2 VTMB - UP VTMB - TPG Steam will only run the game named VTMB, so you rename the one you want to play to VTMB. If it was a new game, and you'd modded it, and a new Patch v1.3 is released, You just let Steam update the Vanilla game and Rename it to from VTMB v1.2 to VTMB v1.3 Steam's happy, it's forced your update, and as long as you don't stupidly try to verify cache, your modded games can still be played without updating, When the inevitable broken mods are also updated, you can update everything together, at your convenience.

You can't make it one by just grabbing those files, and renaming to your character model. VTMB doesn't actually use "Seperate Clothing" mods, they are included as part of the character models, even the Alternates come with some body textures The pics certainly make it look like it's the player model, all being from behind, as though 3rd person, but it's not actually the case. They are both NPC textures TPG_Mega\materials\models\character\npc\common\stripper\stripper3 and TPG_Mega\materials\models\character\npc\common\lotusblossom_girl\ It's clear these are the textures of those screen shots, and they don't have any Custom Models/Meshes/Bones, so must use the Vanilla ones, and it may be possible to use them as Player character files but PC are much more complex than these "Common" NPCs which are just generic background characters. Commonly referred to as walking blood bags by Kindred. Adding them as NPC's is easy enough though, grab the two folders I name, and drop them in any Game Folder with same folder Path Game Folder\materials\models\character\npc\common\ Drop lotusblossom_girl folder, and stripper\stripper3 or just entire stripper Folder contents, and you're good to go. Back up original Files as precaution first, if any exists (Depends whether that mod overhaul changes them), Vanilla files are in the Pack###.vpk (Vampire Pack Files), and always overriden by loose files. 1
Andarus Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 I read through everything but I still can't figure out how to fucking run this Mod on Win10? €dit: https://mega.nz/file/bw02kZqA#nAskF1UtOmiD7e6tSgV3W6XK4se6sKd-1FzAn5AA_t8 Modified vampire.dll fixed it.
MatteBleu Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 @Uhuru N'Uru hey ! Is it possible to play the blossom girl stripper ? Lately I’ve just been modding the clandoc files in vdata to who ever I want to play, I learned the method from this video: Anyways I was wondering if the Asian blossom stripper came with a npc code, or if the code you wrote already was it. Please let me know !
