BHUNP Devious Devices Clipping

Recommended Posts

I've gone so far as to entirely re-install BHUNP, devious devices and the sliders and of course re-building. I still have the same issue. Has anyone been had this issue before and been able to solve it?

Is the armor set made for BHUNP, or is it a port? (either an LE-SE port or a bodytype port). If a port, it might be the reference body they used.

If it is a port (and even if not), it's possible the author's reference body doesn't mesh well with your preset. I've seen that problem many times with armors and clothing mods. And even sometimes "nine out of ten" components in an armor mod fit correctly, but one or two use the wrong reference body (erm, whatever ref body they used it doesn't work for me anyway, hence "the wrong ref body"). There's some Outfit studio magic you can apply to swap the reference body for one closer to your body (or even to use your body), but since I've never done it myself, I'll just have to leave it at that. Try a widenet search on  "skyrim special edition outfit studio replace reference body" << I think that'll cough up an appropriate link.

Will it fit properly to any of your Bodyslide presets?

Is your custom preset a BHUNP preset? Preset "family origin" should match that of the element it's working on... that is, only CBBE presets for CBBE, only UNP for UNP, only BHUNP for BHUNP, etc. (you might already know that, but many don't).

Finally, a speculation:

When you fitted the armor, did you check the Build Morphs checkbox? It's *possible that IF you use racemenu as well as bodyslide to define your character's shape/size/etc, (for instance, a racemenu boost to cleavage or bust size. or even a full preset-swapout) that if the armor component doesn't have a tri file, it won't stretch properly in-game for a racemenu-stretched body.  That is, racemenu adjustment wouldn't have any affect on it, although they would morph the body.

I did check the "build morphs" option in bodyslide, but I didn't change any of the body slides in-game. I'll try using a different bodyslide preset once I'm back on my computer and let you know if you're right.

Should align well if you build both body and devices with the same preset. Make sure you are actually building BHUNP meshes and not cbbe/unp. Also make sure your bodyslide does the proper output which is not getting overwritten by anything.

I did build the outfits using the same preset my character's body uses, which of course are both BHUNP. How would I make sure my bodyslide output isn't being overwritten?

Were you able to make the leather dresses work without clipping? The ebonite ones work fine for me. The leather ones clip, and in bodystudio I can see that part of the body doesn't change when weight is moved from 100 to another number, causing the clipping.

Ok so, I've tried this again and I have a sneaky feeling this is a me thing and I'm just being dumb.

I'm running SE with 1.5.97 and using MO2 I've installed the following:

Body: BHUNP latest version for SSE

Pre-set: Athena Bombshell (making up for smol bewbs in RL!!)

Bodyslide studio (launched through MO)

Amours

Devious Devices 5.1

Devious Devices - Assets 3.0 BHUNP conversion

Devious Devices - Expansion 4.3a BHUNP conversion

I can't for the life of me get the preset to work with the conversion, I've added pictures because you all seem to know what you're doing and I'm having a nightmare!

It's too early in the morning for wine so if someone could let me know what I'm doing wrong that would super amazing!

Well assuming your only issue is that your preset does not show when DD's groups are selected, that's an easy fix. Open your preset in notepad and add the group names in yourself. BodySlide can perhaps do this as well.

<SliderPresets>
    <Preset name="your preset" set="CT77 Ebony">
        <Group name="3BA"/>
        <Group name="3BBB"/>
        ...
