Submitted vs Published

It says it was submitted in May but published 11 hours ago. What does this mean and what is the difference between published and submitted?

 

EDIT: to clarify, I meant that the "File Information" of my mod says that.

I would venture to guess that "Submitted" is when the mod was first placed on LL. "Published" is when the most recent version of the mod was placed. "Updated" is when the most recent change was made which may be the same as "Published" and usually is but it can mean the text on the modpage or, in my personal case, I bothered to add another picture to it.

Oh that makes sense.

 

I suppose I can test that by changing the text and seeing how published/updated changes. I was about to update something soon anyway. I can report here what happens.

Ok, for posterity, here is how it seems to work.

 

When you change the text of your mod, it updates the 'Updated' time.

When you upload a new version of your mod, it updates both the 'Published' and 'Updated' time.
