Sexlab expressions/mouth are not working. Works on a "fresh" character with same load order.

I've been going through disable/enabling/testing my mods trying to figure out if there was an incompatibility preventing my characters mouth from opening/expressions being played. Just now I loaded up an older save of my character (from before I installed all my NSFW mods) with all my NSFW mods enabled. Basically a brand new character (level 10). After configuring the mods in-game, I found that the expressions work! With the exact same load order, I swapped over to my most recent character/save file. The expressions and mouth did not work on it. So this would mean its not a mod incompatibility, but rather, something going on with my save file. 1 version of my character the expressions do not work. Another older version with the exact same load order, they do. This has to mean its something with the save file yes?

 

But then the question is which?...Which mod do I have to "clean install" in order to fix whatever is preventing the expressions from being played? I don't have a list of all my mods, but I will try to list all the relevant mods that might effect facial animations:

 

Sexlab Utility Plus

MFG fix

Sexlab Survival

BetterBlowjobs

Sexlab Separate Orgasms

Conditional Expressions (with sexlab patch from Sexlab Utility Plus)

 

Does this call for a complete clean install of all NSFW mods? I would rather save that as a last resort, as that usually ends a save files life, in my experience. But I'm grasping at straws here. Any suggestions?

 

 

Edit1: *huff* *puff* okay after doing a complete clean install of ALL NSFW mods...the expressions still do not play. I am completely stumped. 

 

Edit2: Breakthrough!! I was messing around with some console commands and player.resurrect did something!! It gave her a smile. I typed "mfg info" but no values appeared that would indicate she is smiling. But she was definitely smiling! For some reason that command did something. I immediately tested an expression on her through Sexlab MCM. Nothing. Nothing happened. Typing resurrect again removed her smile and now I am back to square one.

 

Please someone help me. I need a hero. I have so many hours on this character. I can't abandon her!!

 

I FIXED IT!

 

I'm a genius! When all hope was lost, my stubbornness reigns supreme. After more console command testing, I started noticing something: Any time I would type for example "mfg phoneme 01 100" -> "mfg phoneme 02 100" etc etc...of course nothing happened. But! When I typed player.resurrect it would do something to my character that would "update" all the mfg commands I put in beforehand. So that was the explanation on why player.resurrect moved my characters mouth into a smile. That got me thinking..."It just seems like the head is not updating any expression changes...stupid head must be broken...wait a minute" then the idea popped into MY head to replace my CHARACTERS head with a sculpt in racemenu. Why did this work? No fuckin idea. I imported a head I had saved awhile ago onto my character with the sculpt menu of Racemenu. Low and behold after importing the head, the expressions are now changing!!

I spent the past 8 hours on this. Reinstalled my entire load order twice. Updated all my mods. Downloaded several new ones. What a massive fuckin time waste. I still at this moment have ZERO clue on what broke my expressions in the first place. Considering brand new/older versions of this character work just fine with the exact same load order. Something royally fucked me. And the solution was the most obscure thing (to me, someone with 0 modding experience). Then the solution just happens to land on my head.

 

Fuck this game.

This happened again. This time was a bit different. The expressions would work, but my characters mouth was stuck slightly open. Importing a sculpted head did not fix it this time either. My only option was to go back to a previous save.

I have a same problem with SL expressions not working during sex animations. I fixed it by go to Sexlab expressions menu and change the mouse opening value to anything other than default. Default is 0 so set it to 50, 100 or something. After that press space to advanced to the next stage and the expressions will work again.

I want to do this, but every time i change de opening value it resets to 0

Check your other mods. For instance, BWA can change expressions (even has a menu for expressions) . So can Conditional Expressions and a several others. If multiple mods capable of changing expression are installed into a given game, the default behaviors can cause clashes between the various expression-changing mods and subsequently can cause a lockup (IME) of expressions in certain circumstance. Not contentions btw, clashes. One says "make face do this", other mod says "make face do THIS", third mod says "make face do tHIs".  etcetera,,,

 

And so the system chokes in SL
