Version 4 Updates:

"Reposed Body" arms are closer to original ones
"Pulled fingers out"
"Unsqueezed boobs"

Added shine
Added 3dmigoto Toggle
Added ability to change hair accessories (made all outfits nude)
Made mod modular
Deflated thighs while lifting them
Added Scar glow
Fixed fingernails
Fixed Pussy Texture
Darker insides

4.1 - Fixes Woodsmith/Forgehand T pose

4.2 - Fixes skinny calf weight bug

4.3 - Removed mipmaps and hip bone (butt no longer spins)

4.4 - Fixed rim lighting that I broke last update

Version 4 bugs:

Alternative outfits do not have different colored hair accessories

No mipmaps (causes shimmering and colorshift, I think)

Standard graphical artifacting and performance hit caused my 3Dmigoto. (the Bombmaker outfit can be used in DX12)

Install:

Delete Old mod versions
Copy "Kena" folder from zip to "...\Common\Kena Bridge of Spirits\", replace all files
Open Game and Change Graphics API to "DirectX 11"
Restart Game
Profit

Customize Install:

Navigate to "...\common\Kena Bridge of Spirits\Kena\Content\Paks\~Mods\"
Delete mod(s) that you don't want
The "Core" file is required for "KenaV4" mods to run
When installing optional mods, make sure you delete any mods that change the same Outfit

Disable 3dmigoto Changes:

Press Numpad0 (u should see green letters, this is called hunting mode), then hold F9, press Numpad0, and release F9.

Re-enable 3dmigoto Changes:

While in hunting mode, press F9 once, make sure you exit hunting mode by pressing Numpad0 again.

If anyone has version 4 of this mod or the attachment version of the mod, can you put it on mega or google drive? The old download links no longer work.

im trying to make my own edit but it wont show up in game. made my edits in blender then exported to unreal engine 4.27.2, cooked my content and then took those files from the cooked folder and packed them into a pak file but then when i load the game the mod does not work it just resets to default skin in game.

(does it want JUST 4.27? heard that the last number is not so important)
i also tried with and without the KenaMeshTool and it made no difference, im on linux but i also tried in windows and same result.

@Maximo_ If nothing is being changed then double check the path names (they are case sensitive), and make sure the pak file has a "_P" at the end "example_P.pak"

Everything seems to check out, but i dont have file you have, the ABP file, whats that all about? i also have textures applied so i can plan my final output. Thats not a problem is it? maybe something wrong with my packing method?

@Maximo_ Just having those 2 files packaged and placed into the Paks folder should stop the default model from rendering (even if they have no data on them). So it's either the packing method or there is no "_P". We have tried some packing tools, but to my knowledge they are not updated. I have been using a bat file from this post. If you are confident in your packaging process but are still having problems, let me have your pak file.

I use some bat files I got from the tales of arise discord and just slapped them into "C:\Epic Games\UE_4.27\Engine\Binaries\Win64" and made shortcuts, because I didn't know what the dependencies were.

You will need the ABP reference later, so that the animations will work. Also it looks like your materials are not in the right directory, but that should not affect anything yet.

rename the anim blueprint to what the ABP file is named, that you are referencing

Open up the mesh and add the skeletal mesh post process anim blueprint

Hey this is unrelated, but I saw a link to a smutbase model of Kena. The link is sadly down. Does anyone still have this model available? Thanks to anyone who is willing to share!

i did add that blueprint before cooking and it acts the same. i also cant move the bones in unreal. maybe the weight paint got messed up along the way?

Posted (edited)

A weight painting issue would stretch the model everywhere, unless somehow all of the weights or vertex groups were deleted (highly unlikely).

I also cannot move the bones in unreal

I think this is still the ABP reference not being setup right.

Here are a few Checks

1. In blender select the skeleton, go into 'pose mode', move some of the bones around (with "g" or "r") and make sure the mesh moves with it (not all of the bones are being used)

2. Do not package the cooked ABP files

3. Make sure the ABP is named "ABP_Kena_Clothing", it is case sensitive

4. Make sure your blender file looks something like this (the scale being set to 444 is an update I am working on)
