Bugged tan lines

Hi! I'm having some issues with the tan lines with the Simdulgence and Wicked Whims penis. Anyone knows how can I fix this?

Are you using tan line CC or is that from the game and suntanning? Are you using custom skins/skintones?

It's the original tan line and they're using the EA's skin ?

It could be that they are falling outside of the area that isn't getting tanned. You know, like that part was outside his outfit even though it was in his shorts because of the way the textures work. Have you tried it with a larger pair of shorts? Otherwise I thought it might have been the skin tones were glitching. I'm using the same setup as you probably and I don't get that, but my males use more the board short swimwear.

If you want to get rid of the tan lines use a non-default skin overlay.

I use RemusSirion RS-8-M I think.

He has tons of non-default skin overlays.

They are applied in CAS head/face details on each sim.

Since I only worry about my played sim I don't bother with doing any NPC's.

Included the skin overlay I like on females too as it has a very nice cleavage.

Using these on elders will make them look young again

Just drop the extracted folder in your Mods unless you have another skins folder already.

 

The nice thing about skin overlays is they never break with game updates and you can still apply Makeup and Wild Guy's Female Body Details.

Regular skins and default skins are just the opposite.

Second pic no tan lines at least but the penis doesn't match obviously.

You don't have anything by [BB] Better Bodies installed I hope.

 

Are you using Wicked > Naturism to get nude?

 

Has your sim been Sunbathing?

I haven't got the Better Bodies mod.  I'm using Wicked whims > Naturism > Undress Outfit Bottom. My sim had a sunbathe wearing his swimwear, and always have the same problem (half penis tanned ?) And if he takes a sunbath without swimwear have the penis pale and the body tanned ?

I think the problem is sunbathing and getting a tan.

It's something I never do.

 

No idea how to reset them other than removing Wicked Whims

Delete the localthumbcache.pkg

And load the game without Wicked installed.

Then do a 'save as.

Reinstall Wicked and test again.

You will lose all your WW settings tho.

 

Maybe there is a command to remove tans or tan lines.

No, my problem isn't the tanned sim, my problem is the cut in the tan. He has half penis tanned and half pale. He must to have all the penis pale.

I have the Simdulgence's skin tone but I have the problem also with only those three files. The problem persist  ?‍♂️

Remove the SimpleGens Penis Base

It only works if using RealGens Penis.

No one else has that problem with WW so it's something else you have installed causing it.

You might have too many RealGens files installed.

 

simdulgence_cas_ymBtm_RealGensPenis.package is the only large sized file you should have.

 

The other version is non_cas and you can't use both together as it's like having duplicate Penis mods.

There might also be a default version you need to avoid using.

 

All the others should also be cas type with different size Penis in their names are fine.

 

Easy enough to test by removing Real Gens temporarily.

Don't forget to delete your localthumbcache.pkg afterwards.

 

If you don't want to see all of them in CAS then add this file.

You can't use the RealGens with cc in file name as they are not for Maxis Match Skin Tones so they won't match WW Skin Tones.

 

As I said remove all your RealGens CC and test without.

Yes but now you need at least one size added.

Something I think worth mentioning is that on the RealGens mod page, there are known issues specifically related to tanning.

It mentions RealGens/RealChests and the problem could affect penises in that the game doesn't see them as 'covered by clothing'.

You could be fighting an issue without a fix.

 

As @Scorpio suggests, remove RealGens completely and try with just WW installed.

Yeah, this thought had already crossed my mind and was what I was getting at in my my post #4. I just went and tested my game and it does it. Like @Scorpio with the file, which mine isn't that one, it still gets the differing tan/non tan like @RaycoSexy is getting. I'll do a bit more experimenting later today unless one of you figures it out before then.

I tested it as well with swimwear on and had the same issue. When I used the Speedo-type suit, The issue wasn't as prominent as there were only a couple of visual lines. One on the penis and one on the scrotum.

If I use a fully covered suit, the penis gets a tan like all the pictures above.

Typically I never have this issue as my sim always sunbathes nude.

This is obviously a problem directly related to RealGens.

It have sense, then the problem haven't any solution? I'll have to give up tanning in a swimsuit then. Thank you very much to everyone for your help!

I understand you very well. I have always loved these tanlines and always found them very sexy. But since a patch or wicked whims update it doesn't work anymore. I also think it's a shame that nobody has been able to solve the problem, because at the beginning it worked great and almost all of my sims had tanlines but since it broke it just looks like shit. At some point it was changed, intentionally or unintentionally. You can see it best with the leggings. There is also the penis above the leggings instead of underneath.

 

So let's hope that some good modder who also likes tanlines can fix the problem at some point and bring the penis back under the tanline and leggings.
