Bethesda Mods: Are They Compatible with an Existing MO2 set-up ?

I have been reading and and seeing mixed answers from various places about whether mods from the Bethesda site work alongside an MO2 set-up with LL / Nexus mods, as there are a few there I like from my PS4 game, which I would like to use on my PC version.

Will they work or will it cause issues with SKSE / MO2 at all ?

No Ps4 mod's are not compatible with mo2.

No not all ps4 mod's are available for pc.

Yes most ps4 mod's have a pc version or similar. (a lot of ps4 armour and weapons are compilations of pc mod's)

Yes Pc has better versions of everything available for ps4.

you may just have to look around for want you want but it is available somewhere.

try asking here. most of us are helpful.

I think you misunderstood my question, but I will clarify here. I am NOT looking for install PS4 mods for PC. Bethesda has some mods i use on the PS4, available for PC as well, PC versions of those mods, which i would like to use in my game on PC (not PS4)

i know PS4 mods do not work on PC and cannot be used. I simply want to use the mods that i use on the PS4 that also have a PC version.

so my questions once more, can I use PC mods from Bethesda site while i play my game via MO2, or will there be a conflict of some sort ?

It seems that no matter if you have the mod added to your library on Bethesda.net account or not, the game will only show you mods for download that are made for the platform the game is running on.

Once it's available for download in the game menu though, it should work fine. MO2 will just drop it into "Overwrite", but that's just a minor inconvenience.

Totally. I finally got my game going last night, and downloaded 6 Mods (PC versions of the PS4 ones i use of course). What happened next i thought was a bit weird but it worked out fine.

I downloaded the mods via the "mods" menu on the main loading screen of the game, then i loaded up my game. Once my game was loading, i had a few error message about some mods that were already in place and working (missing plugins, ....), so I quit the game to desktop, and say my MO2 had some warnings and files in the overwrite. What I noticed was interesting, and as you said, inconvenient but not game-breaking.

The Bethesda mods' ESM and ESP files were all in the overwrite folder. I simply create a new mod and named it "Bethesda Mods". But somehow, adding those mods, MO2 deactivated about 20 mods from the load order screen (ESM files mostly).

I just had to reactivate the ESM files in the right pane again (no big deal), and then I ran LOOT to sort the new Bethesda mods into the mix, and got back into the game, and all worked out fine :)

so end result, yeah you can use Bethesda mods via MO2 Mod set-up. just with a few minor inconvenient things to look for and fix :)
