Need help with Sexlab animations

Recommended Posts

Okay so, I am pretty used to modding and recently decided to mod my Skyrim SE back up with various mods that help me play the way I want to play, like obviously all us modders do. However, I decided to add Sexlab as well as various other animation packs. But unfortunately I seem to have run into a little snag. For some reason the dialog for any of the animations are missing and the only thing it shows me is "..." and that's it. The various animations surprisingly work, but I can't see what I am choosing, which is pretty annoying to say the least. When you choose any of the "..." options it shows, it gives the error "failed to look up" and then continues into the animation as if there is no issue. I have run FNIS countless times and I also use LOOT, SSEedit and Wrye bash to sort out any of the load order issues, although I am not new to modding, I am however new to using LOOT or SSEedit.

Also ingame Sexlab does not recognize any of the Osex mods that are installed and does nothing with those for some reason. FNIS picks up Osex mods and the various other animation packs, but Sexlabs does not.

If anyone can give me an idea where to start looking to even find the problem to sort it out, I would appreciate the help.

Well first of all, Osex is an independent framework from Sexlab. They are not supposed to recognize each other.

As per your other issue, I would try to make sure you are not missing any installation requirements its easy to forget to install small mods like papyrus or jcontainer that sexlab and its animations need. You can also install "sexlab tools"  which will help you select animations and stages from the list easier.

Yeah I notice I was speaking about FlowerGirls, that uses Osex animations, sorry for the mistake. Anyways, like I said I have a few animation mods installed and it's easy to get mixed up if I'm not in game to reference which ones are which. I do have papyrus as well as jcontainer installed for different mods that require either one. Unfortunately there are quite a few mods that require a variety of mods that they pull resources from and that's usually where the max mod cap quickly gets reached. I've tried reinstalling some of the animation packs too, but that doesn't really seem to do anything.

I'll install the "sexlab tools" and see if that fixes my issue and also go back to the framework page and see if I might have missed something.

Is this with a Sexlab mod? It sounds a lot like Follow me for sex. If that's the case reinstall the mod and pick the unlocalized version. Localized ver. has this issue.

As for FG and OSex, don't expect them to interact with Sexlab. They're separate frameworks and you should keep a close eye on what you install. All these frameworks can work at the same time, not together, but you can also experience major clashes when it comes to certain mods or feature overlaps.

Dude, you are awesome. Haha. Yeah it seems that it was "Follow me for sex" I've had it installed with the "localized" version in the past and it never gave me issues until now. Don't know why the "localized" version is even a thing if this is a known issue. Never had a problem in the past with the different animations installed, so we will see if they cause issues later on. Really thought it was "sexlab" itself causing the issue, but luckily it seems to be fixed now.

Thanks again for the advice and glad it worked, especially seeing as the question was answered in less than a day.
