Where & How can I Find People to do Commissions?

I love Skyrim and I use CK or Outfit Studio to make tweaks to mods, but beyond that I'm really bad at 3D, animations and scripting.

I have features I want to add to mods but I can't do it myself (I tried but failed).

Does anyone know how to find people to do commissions? If yes can you also tell me some details like how much does it usually cost, what is the usual process of commissioning, and what are the things need to look out for.

Also another questions: is there currently any mod that have breast physics to allow the breast to deform and change shape depending on how the hand touches it (can SMP maybe do that)?

Thank you.

Finding them, my best guess would be renderosity that site has a massive number or artists, animators and what not running around on it, look through the sections dealing with the specific game, my guess from where you are posting it is skyrim, then check their home page on that site or whichever site they link as their main site, it may well state they do commissions and how to arrange for one to be done.

Another potential source for commissions would be to try your local college or what not that does graphics/animations courses, you may well be able to get one of the people on the course to do it, maybe at a bit lower fee if you allow them to use it as part of their course work, assuming of course it is suitable for their course work.

Edit, just had a though, there are quite a few animators based here on ll, it may well be worth asking them if they do commissions.

Prices my best guess would be at least £50 minimum, and could go up into the thousands depending on just what you want and how much time and effort it would require to actually do.  For a general guide take a look at what companies who hire graphics artists and animators offer per hour (for entry level/new graduate just starting their job), and that should give you a rough idea of the sort of costs you may incur.  That will not take into account any resources they have to buy to do your work either, if they do not have it expect that to be added to your bill as well, though all of this would be sorted out and agreed upon in writing either through email or some other form of contact that can be logged and copied to make sure both you and them have the information and are working from the same decisions and agreements.

For the deformation of the breasts, you might be able to get a custom rig to allow it in skyrim, but I do not think there are in effect enough nodes or contact points within the breast to allow it, even expansions can be bit iffy at times.  An animator here on the site may well give you more detailed or better information about this, hell they may even turn around and say sure it can be done, but the for actual game play is basically not workable, but if you are just doing poses and photo shoots then it would work, not really my area, I am more into the level lists, constructable objects, balancing armor/weapons values and merging mods kinda of thing.

From my limited understanding, animations and physics are both based on bones. The new CBBE-3BA and BHUNP-3BBB bodies have 3 breast bones (per side) and might come close to supporting a limited version of what you are asking for. Here, for example, is some slight breast deformation in an image from Baka's BHUNP 3BBB body's page:

Bear in mind that the deformation shown is not collision-based, it is outfit-morph based. Still, it shows the capability of the body to support at least some breast deformation. I use BHUNP, so I don't know, but I suspect that the 3BA bodies from your friendly neighborhood CBBE body dealer have similar capabilites.

Again, I'm not an animator or physics expert, but it seem to me that if you want the kind of flexible, multifaceted deformation shown in your image, you're going to need a body with a lot more breast bones than the current max of 3 per side- something like 12 per side might begin to approach what you need. Making a new body, or even enhancing an existing one, with double, triple or quadruple the breast bones, is a tall order.

I use CBPC for body physics and HTD-SMP for cloth physics. Since CBPC collisions are based on imaginary spheres, which can be moved but not deformed, I doubt if it would support collision-based breast deformation of the kind you are after. So if you do manage to get someone to make it work, plan on using HDT-SMP for boy physics as well as for cloth physics.

On the other hand, maybe the Incredibly Rude Lurker™ is right- I just make shit up as I go along.
