Captive Maidens 1.0 English

Recommended Posts

Because of their delicate constitution, it´s always good to carry a tent around so you can pitch to let them rest without risk. If you want to have them moving quickly, it´s always good to carry around some cheap clothes, especially shoes.

DID is from a completely different age of modding and thus, rather simple.

Llyn I have found the first in Marsh-Punk Camp

I have resulted it in Bravil

After it has disappeared I has typed in the console player.placeatme 1,1,1

Is this mod compatible with xeo? Or are the maidens all static and unchangeable?

This plugin requires MBP 1.4a and MBP++ .94a or later.

You "can" run Xeo with this but it won't change anything as these are not vanilla NPC's. Xeo only changes vanilla NPC's if you were not aware. Now if you wanted to change the races used in this plugin to Xeo's then you would need to remove the MBP masters and redirect it to Xeo as well as edit the races. A fair piece of work.

Hi, I've just a question: does a "reset button" exist for this mod? (or a console command to destroy all the maids, like in tamago club for the children).

I've just re-installed oblivion (after cleaning my computer from virus: format C: ) and I've a problem with this mod: each time I go to a place (houses, citys) where I left a maid, the game crash (ctd)...

I really don't want to loose my savegame for a such stupid thing! Please, help! :'(

Link to comment

Lol... disabling the esp don't remove the saved maidens from the game, that's why I'm asking if someone knows a way to "reset" or destroy them, because I get a CTD each time the game load an area where I left a saved maiden. (console command 'll be welcome)

I can find new maiden without problems but those from the previous install cause CTD.

EDIT: I deleted all my savegames, but it should be interesting if someone could add a "reset button" to remove all the maiden from the game, to clean it before disabling the esp (like for childrens in tamago club).

Link to comment

Did you try the clean save method?

1. Disable the esp and start Oblivion.

2. Load the saved game and immediately make a new manual save via the escape key.

3. Exit Oblivion.

4. Enable the esp and restart Oblivion and load the saved game you just created.

That "should" work to get rid of you CTD.  If it didn't then how did you get the maidens?  Did you recruit them via MCS or enslave them via slave trader or something else?

Link to comment

I saved them from bandits, let them at some cities/houses and some of them was MCS recruit, but both caused CTD.

Maybe the load order change was the cause, but I was unable to get this load order back (because of "format/c:").

I was just saying it should be interesting if someone (in the future) could add a "reset button" to remove properly all the maidens.

In my case, I just deleted my savegames and started a new one, this is not a problem for me anymore. ;)

(and yes, I think, I tried the clean save method, but the maidens was still there...)

Link to comment

Try to remove the maidens, mouse click one maiden in console mode, then type disable.

They'll be gone. Though the data is still in the save file. This may help with CTD.

I've said: the CTD happen on loading the areas where I left maiden(s), so there is no chance to select the maiden.

Exept if you know a way to select them from your desktop... uh? (read the posts!) :/

I also said I deleted those savegames, so: no problem anymore.

;)

Now the crashing is quite interesting, I had this too. By now I think Captive Maidens is one of those PIs you may have some fun with for a while, but nothing really essential. If you are looking for some more female NPCs to choose among as partners, there are some well made PIs like Croded Roads and similar. Just use MCS on them.

The captive maidens are NOT designed to be used as companions.  They disappear from the game as soon as you finish escorting them to a city guard.  This is how they were designed.

If you are looking for companions to use then get another plugin like From2ch lives:

NPC's from 2ch lives are set up to be companions via MCS.

Hi Guys i'm newbie and i have Problems:

First I installed MBP 1.8.0

Then MBP ++ 0.98

Then Captive Maidens

Then BOSS (idk in http://www.loverslab.com/topic/833-install-beautiful-people-a-guide-to-setting-up-beautiful-people-modular-bp/ they said i must)

I've read All Posts on this Thread and in one was a Translation of the .ini, i've replaced it with the original one (wrong?)

Now i've searched everywhere for this "Maidens" but i found no one!

I Played the Tutorial 3 times to "activate" this Mod but still doesn't work!!!!

PLSSS can someone help me?

PS: Sry 4 my bad English :P

why doesn't anyone make a non MBP version of this? I hate MBP like many others and I dont want my oblivion npcs to look like anime characters. Plus I use the new character overhaul which makes the npcs look much more realistic.

Why don't you create one yourself? That's the start of modding.

Removing cosmetic mod dependencies isn't that hard, just tedious. (Tes4Edit is a good place to start)

I do agree though, I personally would never create a mod that demanded other people use my choice of cosmetic mods. I too loath the anime-child look but I wouldn't stop anyone from using it.

Link to comment

neither would i stop, but it is kind of unfriendly to create a mod that is dependant of some optional mod like MBP. When I first started adding mods to oblivion I had to install MBP and waste tons of slots just so I could run a couple of mods from this site.

Off topic, but this bugs me also with CM parners mods, there are many cm mods that require a custom race plugin and yet there are others with custom races that dont require the plugin from that race. So why make people use up double the slots for something?

You are talking about the heart of why folks mod.  They are creating something "they like" and don't give a rats ass if anyone else has their same preferences.  It is not that hard to understand to be honest.

MBP doesn't take up that many spots if you use Wrye to merge them together into your bashed patch.

Either way, if you really want the plugin then you'll have to do as Symon pointed out and use Tes4edit to fix things to your liking.

I love this mod so if there's some kind of tutorial to remove the MBP dependency I'll gladly invest my time to make a non-MBP version. Wouldn't know where to start though, except opening TES4edit and pressing random buttons until I break everything
Yes, Necroposting but that doesn't matter on a necroboard I suppose

If the maidens use MBP races you must change the races to vanilla races.

Also you must change MBP hair and eyes to vanilla.

You can load the Mod with TES4Edit and delete the MBP master entry in the esp. close Tes4Edit and load the esp again.

Use the "check for errors" function, or check all entries in the esp. and fix the errors.( the "error could not be resolved" entries) Hairs, eyes, races, spells....

After you have fixed all, save.

Load the esp in CS (CSE) and check all NPCs, Some will look very ugly after a race change. Change their appearance.

Done.

EDIT: you must also fix two scripts !!! aaaCaptiveMaidenPluginGetHairs  and  aaaCaptiveMaidenPluginGetEyes

Delete all MBP hairs/eyes and add vanilla.
