Guest Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/news/323//? So, what should we expect?
leddis3 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Not sure I see the appeal of modding if you still have to play as Tosspot McAuthorinsert. Unless I'm missing something which is quite likely. But to each their own.
ChancellorKremlin Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I think Geralt will be the last thing I'd think of modding if I were to mod TW II. And if you don't like him, make someone else.
Guest Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I haven't played it yet,i 've been saving it for a later playthrough with a pc since my current laptop can't handle the game's engine at max settings (i get the great amount of 10 fps having it maxed out).I just wander if modders will be able to do staff like things were done in oblivion, skyrim and partially in dark souls (like hd textures, new models, scripted based mods etc).Has anybody dived into the game's architecture so as to determine it's modability?I am aware that in skyrim's case, many great and advanced mods were able to be implemented prior to the release of the creation kit (like player body replacers,hd textures, music replacers and even basic gameplay mods)(there were even esp based mods prior to the creation kit for crying out loud!!)
squall1151 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 im looking very forward to all the mods for this mostly the quest mods.
Veta Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 It's pretty hard to work on since you have to built the entire world yourself and lip syncing doesn't work yet and the size is quite big , but it allows for quite a lot of custom stuff .
Blacknoir Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Adventures of Triss would be something I'd wanna see.
ChancellorKremlin Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Adventures of Triss would be something I'd wanna see. More like misadventures! What I like the most about the lore is that Triss (and witches and mages in general) are all like crazy promiscuous in their early years. You don't even need to make it up!
Astaroth-Lite Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 That doesn't mesh with the internet definition of a 'wizard' at all.
windpl Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 That doesn't mesh with the internet definition of a 'wizard' at all. I don't have clue what you just wrote. Care to elaborate?
Astaroth-Lite Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I don't have clue what you just wrote. Care to elaborate? If you manage to stay a virgin until you become thirty years old, you become a wizard! It's a worthy goal; and one I failed to meet, sadly.
GECK.O Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I think....the reason why they released the REDkit, is because of the success of Skyrim modding community. I don't think The Witcher 2 can repeat the Skyrim success, because The Witcher 2 is not an open free world and you can only play as Gerald. Pretty boring to replay it again. May be The Witcher 3, assuming it's pretty fun for the open free world, we can create our own PC and adding followers.
Veta Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 , the witcher 2 boring ? Maybe you played the wrong game ,also modding tools/devkits have been given to users since the early 90's how come they released because of the "success" of skyrim and not some other game like WoW or HL ?

I said pretty boring to replay it again. Because it's not a big free open world and you can't play another character beside of Gerald. Sometimes, when I play Skyrim, I didn't follow the main quest, but instead playing as an adventure who live in Skyrim, based on my imagination. Something like The Sims in Skyrim. I just have a feeling that they released the modding tool because of Skyrim CK success. But, that is a good start.
windpl Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 The released moding kit because the promised to do so. As they did with w1.
ChancellorKremlin Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Yeah, this has nothing to do with Skyrim. Also, with RedKit, you can play as other characters. Bring on the mods!
GECK.O Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Oh, I didn't know they released the Redkit for The Witcher 1.
janoorn Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 is there some kind of modding community site for the witcher 2? the nexus is quite inactive (i think the only mod on there made with ne new kit is the lyakon mod and im not sure if i should wait for the final release to play it) i seriously hope, that there will be a lot of mods, because i loved playing the game
