Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Monster Hunter Stories 2 comes out tomorrow so I figured now would be a good time to make this thread and try to drum up interest. Sadly PC didn't get the demo early though, but it comes out tomorrow. Anyway, MH: World got some pretty good nude mods so I hope Stories 2 will also get them. I'd assume it's also running RE Engine vs the old Framework engine World ran on too, which should make modding easier. Since it's an RPG there's plenty of cute chicks around this time.

i dont think its unreal engine either? i think folks in the monster hunter modding discord were saying its MT Framework again. similar to monster hunter world

hopefully the game is popular enough that modding tools get made

Well, MT Framework seems to also be pretty moddable at least in terms of cosmetic mods, going off World anyways. Either way, yeah, I hope there's some interest.

This isn't looking very mod friendly. Modifying files or injecting anything seemingly stops the game from working. They have completely blocked ReShade and the game gives a black screen when using it. Same thing if you try and mess around with unlocking DLC.

Oof. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Capcom DRM found in RE8. Probably not since you can mod RE8, but it doesn't have any DLC. Might have changed it for this game though since it does have a bunch of DLC.

people on the monster hunter modding discord seem pretty positive on the moddability of this game. some of them saying it will be easier to mod than other RE Engine games like Resident Evil 8 and DMCV. 

hopefully people remain interested in the game long enough for mod tools to be made

yeah it got shut down when rise came out since they had a drop in activity when they realized iceborne was no longer going to get new content

i suppose any nsfw discussion of monster hunter stories 2 mods will be concentrated here. iceborne still gets mods but its just the same people who have always been making mods continuing to hack away at every armor

Man that's a shame, I recently got into MHW and it really has a lot of potential. RE Engine sure is a blessing

I haven't seen any actual mods yet, but it does allow you to load dlls right now. Meaning ReShade now works!

If I knew how to use those tools I would try to edit the plesioth armor to see if it would work and looks decent.

not that i remember. if it did i dont have them

it had some betas for mods that werent public but the final versions of all of those mods got released on nexus if i remember correctly

would it be possible to make something similar for the male character? maybe not totally invisible since itd just be all smooth down there, but a thong or smthing like that would be neat
