galgat Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Rimalus Bruiant, the husband, I guess of Rena. I noticed for the first time, that he is not in the family guild. I had been doing some scripting for controling factions, and stumbled across this. At first I thought it was some Mod that maybe had done it, so I opened Tes4 as if making a New mod, only clicking on Oblivion. But no, he is not in the family faction, but the dog's and Rena are. I thought that might have to do with her follow routines so I checked that, but No, the dogs are set to follow her only. The only reason I bring it up is I remember someone complaining when making a Mod, asking me about A problem they were having in the Rena, and Rimalus Bruiant Household, and how no matter what they did, he always attacked them. I don't remember exactly who, I actually do, but am not sure. So anyway I wanted to mention it. I would fix it in one of my mods, and I might, as it is stupid, and will actually eventually cause one or the other to kill each other, [Of course there set to respawn in 3 days I think, but that does not always work]. but I am checking to be sure that there is not a reason for it, some obscure Quest I never did or something. I really hate changing anything in the Original Mod, and as a rule I never do, even if it means My mod will be less for it.

I think the issue you are going on about it LoversBitch. There is a mission when you have to go in Rena house, which of cause in game is trespassing as her husband is not bound in the game properly. To be honest he is not used for anything so I just open console, select him and disable his ass.
galgat Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 yes knew it was wrong, but was making sure, as There could have been some minor quest reason, and I tend to never Muck with the original game when I mod. I will probably add him to the family faction in script, in my mod, as I have my own reasons right now for correcting this error.

We shouldn't talk about this..." or "Trying to tempt me? I'm married you know..." Now I finally know she is talking about her Dogs !!! She is married with her Dogs, not with that strange guy who lives in her house.

Guest Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Rimalus attacking Rena and the dogs is a vanilla bug (and a humorous one at that). I'm pretty sure the Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes it. The UOP should practically be a requirement for anyone playing Oblivion ever, whether playing with mods or not. Fixing the bug might be a bit redundant.
galgat Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 I have never used the unofficial patch, and doubt I ever will, i do use KT_custom race patch, but that is about all. To many things fixed, that really did not need to be fixed in it. I just avoid it.

I just avoid it. i think the same and did the same and anyone find a bug ingame that he does not like he can make a simple esp to arrange it to his convinience (you can make rimalus a warewolf a ghost or make him dissappear) in my oblivion rimalus just stay at home (walking around) and sleeping. it is funny to read that he attacks anything !
gregathit Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Yea, I never bothered with the UOP stuff either since I use OOO. It fixes all the bugs so it makes UOP redundant.

This poor cuckold deserves a bit of payback. Then again, maybe Galgat has something naughty up his sleeve already?
