Wicked Whims causing 'testingcheats' debug mode to be enabled at all times.

I have no other mods or script mods than wicked whims. The debug mode has to be disabled via console and I did that. Game always starts with it on as soon as the wicked whims initial notifications appear, and traveling to other lots reactivate it.

Steps I have taken:

I disabled script mod in the game settings for test purposes, restarted the game and the issue does not persist. If I allow script mods again (in this case just wicked whims), the testingcheats debug mode is back in play and I have to disable it every time I go somewhere else. Also removing the mod folder entirely, thereby removing wicked whims, also resolves this issue.

Another issue is that wicked whims is causing some issues pertaining to action cues. Such as and not limited to: delayed action, sims randomly freezing in place for at least 5 seconds during an action or before the next action. The issue becomes more frequent if and when there are many sims around. But I have tested this in a lot with only a single sim, and the issue persists with the mod turned on. Without it, the game and action cues run like butter with no delays.

I have already checked off the list of things in the COMMON MISTAKES. I have properly reinstalled and used proper program to unpack the latest version of the mod.

IIRC, testingcheats being enabled by WW is intentional. It's not something that really ruins gameplay and it actually comes in handy in some situations, e.g. when you need to reset a stuck Sim and can do so with a simple shift-click (instead of having to enter "testingcheats true" first).

The performance drop with major mods like WW or MCCC enabled is something I have also experienced, mainly when playing on lower-end hardware. Lowering some graphics settings like texture detail and shadow quality has helped sometimes, reducing the freezing and delay at least.

Thank you for this. Just needed confirmation.

The sex mod Backalley hosted for Sims 2 did the same thing, it auto enabled testing cheats, but it had an option to disable it from being turned on by default, I imagine there may be a setting in the WW settings to do the same but I never bothered to look because I prefer it to be auto enabled.  But I do have an issue with WW but I'm starting a new thread in regards to the issue.

Does it matter if the Testing cheat is enabled?

No it doesn't matter except you get more menu choices when you shift+click on objects or sims in game.

But it doesn't hurt performance or mess the game up.

I've had it enabled with MCCC settings forever anyway because I use the fullCASedit cheat to edit my sims in game all the time.

Shift + Click on sims when they are doing a WW sex animation you don't like and disable it.

It saves a lot of time from having to locate it later in the menus and disable them.

No one forces you to use any cheat code while playing.

Well, it was a bit suspect when my sim started getting relation increase when I clicked another sim. And talking to that sim gave another huge relation increase. After further testing, the game was bugging out. Did the same thing with cheat off.

Edit: I uhh just didn't want to cheese the game, that's all.
