excenze Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Unfortunately, after 3 days of trying anything i have to inform you that this mod broke my game. Even with a clean save i can t equip anything (weapon, ring) and even worse, i can t get into the power armor in the first mission. It shows "E) cannot use" instead of showing the invertory of the power armor so i can place the fuse in. So i couldn t continue the story. Equipping the ring in will get me an error "I am not proficient with this thing and decided to leave it alone". After i disabled this mod everything worked fine. I really hope you can fix this because your mod sounds really cool.
Saint_Olaf Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 (edited) Is there an .ini or config file for this mod somewhere? I really like the idea of this mod but I would like to tailor it to a more Fallout fitting theme. I like the classes Idea but some of the restrictions like not being able to crouch but on one class is way to limiting, especially when you have a lot of other mods and you need to not get shot or have the element of surprise. I also have a ton of gun mods and cant use 99% of them. I downloaded the mod because another mod was dependant on it. I really really love the Idea of this mod but really hate the implementation. I would like to configure it to my own taste to make it more lore friendly to fallout instead of orcs and goblins and demons, it should be more like Heavy gunners and Scouts and operators. So much potential for this mod. I tried to open it in creation kit several times but it just crashes CK every time I try. If done right this would be a great ground work to introduce actual classes and class based enemies into Fallout 4. but for now I would just like the ability to customize it out how I want ? @Operand Edited May 27, 2023 by Saint_Olaf

I tested it a few times, installing and reinstalling all of my mods, and as soon as this one loads the feats my character stops crouching and I can't crouch anymore until I uninstall the mod. Does anyone know why this may be happening, or if there is a fix? Intended. Crouch is reserved for rogues only. If an item has vanilla armor keywords somehow - it will be subjected to the proficiency checks. 12 hours ago, Saint_Olaf said: Is there an .ini or config file for this mod somewhere? It is possible to change it in FO4Edit of course but - well, that's a long story. I am not working on the mod because I've hit the limits of what Papyrus can do. I'm surprised it's working for at least someone. Anyways - it was a pitch for an alpha with the hope to garner interest (see the original post). But the interest wasn't there.

I did, I saw all of that. Thanks you! For me the Fantasy aspect and restrictions like not being able to crouch were off putting. (could work in a total conversion to a fantasy theme, but there's Skyrim) Honestly this mod has a lot of potential if it was pointed more towards the fallout universe. I think you could substantially shrink it and have in a more manageable state. Put just 3 or 4 classes Like Heavy Weapons (heavy gear and armor), Scout (with light gear) and and Brawler or something (for melee), Maybe a Sniper class or energy weapons expert. The races could just be replaced with specialized perks that you could allow access to for multi classing and or advanced classing, and the Lineage/heritage could be pointed towards the Specials. The in universe factions could play some type of role as well. I got the mod to work just fine btw, of course I am sure it would have eventually eaten my save. PRP. seems to have done that already though. Anyway thanks fo the response and it was a fun experiment!
Douie Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 I think this mod was a fantastic idea. I wish you didn't drop the project but i totally understand doing so if interest wasn't there!

If it's not there then something went wrong, it's added when the mod reports successful init completion. How can I open aid menu ,mod reported successful init but I did not find any menu for me to customize my character with mod.

I figured out you can add the controller via console commands ` help "Fallout Fantasy Controller" should give you an ID that you use with the player.additem xxxxxx(item code) But with that said, the mod seemingly isnt being worked on anymore so I dont think its even worth it if its not going to get any more updates. The mod is pretty frustrating to deal with ngl.
Goddess_moka Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 I would really, really love to see this mod get more support. I would try to help if I could but I honestly don't have the knowledge that would likely be needed for such help, nor any idea where I could even learn such things. by the way what mods does it recognize for the beast races? and I am guessing that it will not likely get any more updates after all this time, right? At least not unless it suddenly gets a lot more attention out of nowhere.
uncreativemind Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Holy Hell, IDK why no one can just put the god damn controller item code here -5D00098A I went through the first two pages of everyone speaking about the exact issue I had and 'roughly' how they fixed it but no one coming straight out and saying it. You will not be able to equip most guns / armor or power armor at the start of the game, or be able to crouch - This is a feature not a bug (TM) - They are locked behind 'Race and Class perks' To 'Set up' your race and class you will need the Aid item 'Fallout Fantasy Controller' - If you started the game the 'Vault' way this will be removed from you in the cryo pod and 'soft lock' the mod. ( Alt start is recommended ) - This 'Aid' item is not craftable. But as many here, Im sure that an 'Alt start' may fundamentally mean not using some other mods you may want, as not all are compatible with many of the LL mods. - If this is the case you can add the 'Controller' via console commands after the standard game start. Player.additem 5D00098A 1 FML I only have this mod because another depends on it. Excellent concept, Fantastic implementation for a first time Modder. But awkward as fuck. Also, if i could i would - but as this is a dependency for other mods - maybe include a 'turn off' option for the functions not being used by other mods. Ill be honest, the races and perks and stuff is a pain for me and not why i wanted to include this mod, Yet im forced to utilize the full functionality
Mewfii Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 This mod works like the Horizon mod, if you don't have certain stats then you can't equip certain things like the first power armor in Concord, it will break the quest
meow135 Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 (edited) It seems as if this mod doesn't work with updated AAF. No matter where it is placed in my load order the LL_fourplay.dll keeps getting constant errors on reload after starting a new game. Edited January 12, 2025 by meow135
zhuguannan Posted January 28, 2025 Posted January 28, 2025 not a native speaker, can someone please enlighten me about what's the hell does this mod do? christ... is 'making the description about everything including how's my cat doing this morning except using simple words to just introduce the mod's contents' a fallout mod community tradition....
Leowulf Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 I tried to use this mod, and the Fallout Fantasy aid item was not in my inventory. I saved the game, added it through the console, and then selected my race as Angel with all 4 available bloodline add-ins and mage as class. From that point on, any save that I made crashed the game when I tried to load it. Are you still working on this, or have you stopped? For those wondering what this mod does.... Essentially, it lets you make your character kind of like you would in Dungeons & Dragons. You get to choose a racial line and then add from a limited set of other racial bloodlines to get some perks. Then, you choose your class. Unless you choose Rogue, you cannot sneak. Unless you choose Warrior, you cannot use all weapons. Mage is supposed to get spells later on with some level ups, but I didn't get that far.

Got to concord two days ago and couldnt access the power armor. At first i thought it was just a bug, but after trying to reload saves, restart game etc. So it must have been a mod. Couldnt figure out which of the 200 mods i installed caused this. Surely it had to be one of the perk mods, the education mod. But no. I barely have 5 hours total in-game, and had to figure out how to debug this since the log are useless. Found FO4Edit, which were a bit of a hassle to understand. Eventually i found out that you can search for EditorID and saw it was the actual id of all entries and fortunately that search bar is a loose search meaning i could fucking search for "PowerArmor", after an hour i finally found FF4_PERK_FeatForbidPowerArmor which were linked to the FeatProficiencyArmorHeavy. This one mod has cost me roughly 15 hours of debugging! God somebody needs to make a Bethesta mod bug tracker that can be integrated into the mod organizer's. Imagine you could directly from the organizer search for keywords regarding your problem and all bugs will be filtered based on what you have enabled.
raider12140 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 i wish you would pick up this project again, it seems like a really cool idea. i dont think your issue was lack of interest as much as lack of awareness, ive been on this site well over a year and the other day was the first time i discovered your mod because it was linked on another mod (cant remember which) but even when i search "fallout fantasy" on this site your mod doesnt even pop up. i have to find it by searching through google. id try posting it on nexus but just leave out the fact that it links with adult mods, it shouldnt get flagged for anything. i bet it would do great.

Zaunite Urchin Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 This is so fun thx for releasing it :3
