There are a lot of awesome custom sims that have been created and put on here, and I am struggling with the installation of these correct packages. After I download the rar/zip onto my computer, I do not know how to properly install the packages and files so that these characters are written into the game as households. All of their clothing and body content makes it into CAS, but if I have it correct, I should be able to insert these into the game as households/sims I do not necessarily have to create on my own. Example of file types (these mods include separate mod and tray files): Any help would be wildly appreciated! Thank Y'all!!!
Crashdown117 Posted May 9, 2021 Posted May 9, 2021 All the CC stuff for CAS (.package files) goes into your Mods folder, and the household itself goes into Tray (just mentioning this for the sake of completeness). It should then show up in the Gallery on your personal content tab, if you enable custom content in the selection bar on the left (note that you only see items without that white-on-blue wrench symbol otherwise). You probably just didn't set that checkmark in-game (and you have to set it again every time you launch the game, because the Gallery doesn't remember).

My issue was that I was saving the tray files to the wrong location ?. Once I moved those to where they needed to go, everything lined up perfectly for me.

Best is to start new folders in Mods for each category so everything can go into their proper locations. Mods/CC Makeup Mods/CC Clothing Mods/CC Hairstyles etc.

I've already been doing this for the other CC packs, so it was easy to just sit and sort. Everything has loaded up perfectly and runs smoothly for all the CC I have added, and surprisingly I have not even approached a GB of space. I'm adding in BasementalDrugs and Nisa's Wicked perversions today
