Brazen Assassin Armor - BHUNP and UUNP Bodyslide

View File

INTRODUCTION

Adds a new set of female Light Armor for the UUNP and BHUNP Bodyslide bodies. The set features five color variations, crafting/tempering recipes, and stats balanced for vanilla gameplay. Ported from R2 Studio’s Ninja Warrior for Unreal Engine (assets used with permission).

MAIN FEATURES

-Armor set has a modular design comprised of 16 different pieces (most equippable simultaneously). Equip slots were assigned based on other popular modular armor mods such as Amazing World of Bikini armor, in order to increase compatibility and allow for mixing the parts with other mod armors.

-When all equippable pieces are worn together, the armor has a defensive rating roughly equal to mid-to-high level Light Armor sets in vanilla Skyrim, albeit slightly heavier. Keywords have been applied so that you will still benefit from the “Custom Fit” and “Matching Set” perks so long as you have the appropriate pieces equipped (Corset/Halter Top for body, Anklets/Heels for feet, and Gloves/Bracers for hands).

-Contains UUNP and BHUNP Bodyslides, which feature some further customization options in the form of zap sliders and special “skindentation” compression sliders (see Bodyslides section below for more info). Prebuilt meshes for each of these bodies, complete with .tri files for RaceMenu morphs, are available as an option for those who don’t want to build their outfits in Bodyslide.

-Textures are 4K compressed (DXT5). 2K resolution textures are included as an optional download, for better performance. Uncompressed textures are also available via the Drive link, for the best possible quality at a performance and filesize cost. All ground/inventory models use 1-2K compressed textures to minimize inventory lag.

-Item ground/inventory models are collision-enabled and safe to drop on the ground if desired.

REQUIREMENTS

Spoiler

All versions require the following:

RaceMenu or NetImmerse Override -- for the heels’ height adjustment. Without it, your feet will be sunk partially into the ground.
UNP-compatible skin textures

XPMSE
HDT Physics Extension

UUNP and BHUNP Bodyslide files require Bodyslide and Outfit Studio.
BHUNP version requires
BHUNP. This outfit was developed using version 2.21 of BHUNP, and may not work optimally with older versions. The 3BBB versions have the additional requirement of HDT-SMP, which is included with BHUNP's installer.

BODYSLIDES

Spoiler

To easily find the outfits in the Bodyslide list, you can use the Group Filters provided.

Otherwise, type “Brazen Assassin” in the Outfit Filter search bar.

Several of the pieces contain Zap sliders that can be used to further customize the shape and style of the piece. In the case of left/right zaps, do not use both so that the armor becomes completely invisible in the Bodyslide preview, otherwise it will also be invisible ingame.

In addition to Zaps, experimental “Body Compression” sliders are included to simulate a “skindentation” effect. These sliders are only for the Corset/Top, Panty and Stocking pieces. If you use the Body Compression sliders for the Panty and the Stockings, be sure to also toggle them for the Corset/Top, otherwise you will not get the effect and instead have major clipping.

CRAFTING

Spoiler

Apart from AddItemMenu or the “player.additem” console command, the only way to acquire the armor is via Smithing. To reduce the amount of crafting menu clutter, instead of crafting each piece individually, you are able to craft “packed set” Misc items divided up into Armor, Gauntlets and Boots. When you select one of these items in your inventory, it will “unpack” and deposit all of the modular armor parts into your inventory.

The armor sets are crafted with standard materials (primarily Leather and Steel Ingots) in the Steel category. The Advanced Armors perk is required to craft them, due to their fairly high-level stats. Most of the pieces can be tempered at the Work Bench, with either Leather or Steel Ingots based on the material of the piece.

For balancing purposes, only the Corset, Halter Top, Anklets, Heels, Bracers and Gloves are enchantable. This is to prevent abusing the modular system to stack an obscene amount of enchantments.

FAQ

What about CBBE / [insert other body mod here] ?
I don’t plan on supporting any other bodies, although I grant anyone permission to make and upload their own conversions so long as they provide credit as outlined in the Permissions and Credits section below.

Why is there a Scripts folder in this mod? Isn’t it just an outfit?
The script is what “unpacks” the armor set Misc Items into your inventory, activating when you click the item and deactivating itself immediately afterward. It has no effect on engine performance, is safe to uninstall mid-save, and won’t break if the mod is merged with other plugins.

The armor is invisible when I equip it.
If you didn’t install the pre-built meshes, remember to build them in Bodyslide. If only certain pieces are invisible, it is mostly like a conflict with some other mod that takes multiple equip slots (a common culprit is Devious Devices). If you use such a mod, then I suggest learning how to change equip slots with xEdit and Nifskope.
In addition, when using the Zap sliders in Bodyslide, be sure not to activate all zaps for a particular piece, as that will remove all shapes and render the piece invisible.

The sleeves aren’t visible in 1st person.
Only the gloves and bracers have 1st person models due to the vanilla restriction on what equip slots are visible in 1st person. If you want to see other parts, you’ll need to either install a mod that expands the 1st person slots for each race, or one of those “improved first person camera” mods that override the 1st person models with the 3rd person ones.

There’s lots of clipping in 1st person when I mix the gloves/bracers/body from this armor with other mod armors.
The first person views for this armor are based on the shapes of the UUNP first person models, which are likewise based on the original UNP body. Mods that use different shapes for 1st person views (or re-use the 3rd person models rather than having dedicated 1st person ones) will inevitably cause clipping. A potential solution would be to create Bodyslides for the 1st person meshes, but I don’t generally bother with that.

Is this compatible with Ordinator?
Yes.

For whatever reason Loverslab is screwing up the filenames of the archives, so if you're confused about what order to install things in, let me lay it out clearly.

The last archive here is the Base Files, which is required for all versions. It's what has the ESP and inventory models/textures.

Next, if you want normal UUNP, download either the "02 Bodyslide UUNP LE" archive, or the Prebuilt archive. You don't need both, but you will need the first one if you actually want to utilize the Bodyslide applicaiton.

For BHUNP it's the same thing, except for the Bodyslide files you will need the second-to-last archive here, the one that has "02BodyslideBHUNPLE" in its name preceded by a bunch of numbers. Prebuilts for BHUNP follow the same rules as the Prebuilts for UUNP.

The archive inconspicuously labeled "view" is the link to the Uncompressed Textures archive on Google Drive.

Here's a Drive link to all of the Brazen Assassin archives, if you don't feel like figuring this out: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1h-rAZfsXO5ZmAlCW4YNH_t9Z9BlEiRJX?usp=sharing

Version 1.1 update: Added optional "Reduced Shine" meshes and "Darker Red" textures.

For Reduced Shine meshes, install the Bodyslides and/or Prebuilts for the body you use first, then overwrite with the Reduced Shine files.

For the Darker Red textures, install the main files and any additional texture options (2K, Uncompressed, etc) first, then overwrite.
