Haha this is our attempt to have me mod a game I don’t own and have no access to. ? But it looks pretty good, right? You’re welcome to download the in-progress mod, it’s at the base of page 8. Don’t ask me how to use it, though, @dafalln1 is the one who managed to get my CS4 mod to work in hajimari.

Works just fine, doesn't seem to bug out or anything,in CS 4 that is.Don't have Hajimari, waiting for it to be released on steam.

Thanks to the generosity of @dafalln1 who purchased Hajimari no Kiseki for me, I have forward-ported my mod to Hajimari.  It's a partial release since I haven't beaten CS4 and thus I carefully tried to avoid spoilers and only used the model viewer.  I'll finish the mod when I play the game, which might be 2023 (I'm very partial to the Cold Steel English dubs thus far, but who knows maybe I won't be able to wait now that it's literally on my hard drive).  But I tried to mod even the new characters that I found, so it should be very useable.  Enjoy!

Also, hopefully now this thread can return to CS4 discussion haha.

I’ll try to help where I can, although it’s technically not my mod. Where are you having trouble? I need details.

Which game? (CS3 is slightly tricker due to remapping shader links) Did you get my skirt delete mod to work? Did you first remove any prior installs of 3dmigoto with uninstall.bat? Did you put switch608’s mods into it’s own folder in your mods folder? Did you put my .ini file into the mods folder?

Here is a quick guide to get this running:

NOTE: I am using the GOG Version. I haven't checked for updates but this is the version I have. I'll be focusing on the CS4 version and using Juna. There is a README.txt in the files for help. Just repeat the steps for each girl that has a nude model

00.png.fd4c2909d0466c0ad3757f2ef1ff6382.png

***ALWAYS BACKUP FILES***

Spoiler

1. Make sure you have all the files. You'll need the 3DMIGOTO files for the game you're modding (CS4_UnSkirtmod). You'll also need the nude model of the girl you wish to replace (bin.zip is Juna)

01.png.5f99adfef1b24d83e8ba1c9f9a1e118f.png

2. Unzip CS4_Windows and take the "bin" folder inside then drag and drop in in the game's main directory. Overwrite any files

(It will only ask to overwrite if you already have 3DMIGOTO installed)

02.png.fded374c3fd847e18317eb6064de7672.png

3. Open the game's "bin" folder then "Win64" folder. This is what it should look like.

03.png.112e4d1f14f0c8e03dea32a6b93c19cf.png

4. Delete or move "Files for SSMajin Mod (Nude Towels)" from the game directory. These conflict with the nude mod and require additional files.
(If you already have the files from the Nude towels mods delete or move them from the game's "Mods" folder for compatibility)

04.png.790a9f7041b77e2e72f23ead9b760e77.png

05.png.c2f9bbb9f74764e45bc06ca991152f2f.png

5. Unzip "bin.zip" (This has the files for Juna's nude model)

06.png.14ba13e51af27fd34fc16d4bca577cfd.png

6.Open the bin folder you just unzipped. Open the "Mods" folder next. (Ignore the other files as they belong to a different config of 3DMIGOTO. You don't need them)

07.png.b7d676965c190cab19a3eeca83d075a4.png

7. Drag and drop the "youna" folder from "Mods" into the game's "Mods" folder

08.png.57814fbd304ca6d87b91074a6ece4e57.png

8. Unzip the "Switch608 compatibility for UnSkirt Mod..." and open it

09.png.443bb350f72eba318767eb7b7e89ecb2.png

9. Open the "youna" folder you just placed in the game's "Mods" folder. Drag and drop "switch608mods_pixelshaders_CS4.ini" into the "youna" folder

10.png.52b6bb67937a5d953192cd9fa8aa28b9.png

11.png.25ba19a9e5bd1dfaa2a117a2eeb054cd.png

10. That is it. Now we just need to check if the model works. (The Unskirt mod will be present too)

12.png.3c611638cf5e516f4617fbd7c40d9977.png

11. Once in game have Juna in the party and select her bathing clothes costume (Changes won't appear in the menu)

13.png.ecbcc17ac4f00617b7f48abd52d6c0fb.png

14.png.5119fb7daa978a00d3135ca650aa44d3.png

12. In the field you can see the model in its full glory

15.png.f90f3aa2126024bb66eed7f834c6a100.png

16.png.36ead7e7d4a2eda95c5e3dcb66eecf67.png

(If you kept the "Nude towels" mod" this will overwrite it. So Juna will have the nude model and not the retextured towel. However I have not full tested this. You do get weird stuff like this and 3DMIGOTO mentions conflicts

17.png.ba9a2c89af0f5546674d224f39b7d1b7.png

PROBLEMS WITH CS3

Installation is basically the same for CS3. There is a README.txt that lists the extra steps needed. Also Fie does not work for that game. I was able to get the mod in game but her right leg is twisted. 3DMIGOTO did mention a few conflicts, not sure if that is the issue or the model itself.

You're welcome!  I dunno how much credit I can take, I just wrote a quick compatibility wrapper that activated a couple shader overrides...  And most of all, thank you for making your visual guide to installation!

I believe the Switch608 mods are technically compatible with S_S_Majin's nude towel mod, but it's true that they use the same model and so one will override the other.  That leads to the weirdness in the costume menu, but appearance in game should be fine.  Leaving both installed gives you the benefit of the towel mod for all the characters without Switch608 mods.

The 3Dmigoto warnings are due to pixel shaders being called multiple times, and are harmless.  They go away after a second, and have no effect on the game.  If they bother you (or anyone), just delete the relevant block from the .ini file or add "allow_duplicate_hash=true" to the relevant blocks.  I left those blocks in there though to keep compatibility high; I specifically made my mod so that anyone can delete the costumes they don't want modded.  If I left the duplicate shader out and you deleted the wrong skirt delete, then the wrapper would break.

The thing with Juna's leg is probably due to the model itself being broken, which 3Dmigoto does not generate errors for...  Unfortunately the mod will probably need to be remade in CS3 to look correct, which you'd have to ask the original modder to do since I have no idea how it was made (and I'm not interested in fixing other people's mods anyway).  I'm not even really sure how you managed to get it in game like that, I thought the towels were only for the bath scenes in CS3.

Of course, I use the same template for each character.

If I use a separate template for each character,do you know how much work that takes?

Haha I feel you! Steam says I've spent about 40 hours in Blender alone, probably another 40 (non-playing) hours in CS4. I'm almost up to 10 hours in Hajimari and I haven't played even a minute of that game. And I'm not doing ANY modeling at all, just vertex deletion.

I promise you, I didn’t port my mod to Hajimari for the free game, I would just work more hours at work instead!

Hi guys, I was just wondering if I could get some tips on how to get started with modding 3/4/Hajimari? I'm not very familiar with 3dmigoto or Blender, I'm just looking to increase the girls breast sizes (more than the mod we already have does, as great as that mod is) if its too much to explain, then I'll try to look into it myself, I just want to see if I can get some pointers before I start anything, thanks!

Heck yeah, more people modding!

First install my CS4 skirt delete mod.  You need to use that one because my install supports mesh injection across multiple vertex buffers.  You will also need python 3 (free on microsoft store), blender (I use 2.83 LTS, it's free on steam), the 3dmigoto plugin by DarkStarSword, and the python scripts I wrote to merge and separate vertex buffers.

Go here and first watch the youtube video I linked in my post:

It's actually pretty easy to get started.  Watch the video FIRST before my post overwhelms you.  Then read my post to see what you need to do so that the process works with kiseki games.

Practice by:

1. Entering hunting mode,

2. Dumping a frame,

3. Merging the vertex buffers with my script

4. Importing a mesh in Blender

5. [Doing nothing, for now]

6. Exporting the same mesh (*unmodified*)

7. Splitting the vertex buffers

8. Editing the .ini file, and getting it to load in game by putting in the correct index buffer hash and pixel shader hash.  (How do you know if it's actually loading your mesh if you changed nothing?? Try changing a stride number.  The model will glitch out like crazy.)

IF you can do that, then you're off to the races.  Just replace step 5 with all your modeling magic.  BTW I can help you with the above steps potentially, but I can't actually help with modeling.  I've never successfully done it (I'm just a simple guy who deletes skirts haha).  But that's what the blender forums are for.

Oh wow, thank you so much! I didn't expect such a detailed guide on how to get started so quickly. I don't think I'll have the time to get any work done on this today, but I'll probably start practicing by tomorrow. Thanks again man, this is really helpful.
