johnnnnnnz Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Hello When I use "Scope the Surroundings" to check for attractiveness, sometimes it won't generate an opinion about some sims, as in it doesn't say "Perceived as X" in "Open Sim Profile". This problem makes Ludvig blind to how attractive Melina is ? I tried clicking "Develop Ludvig's Preferences" -> "Develop based on Picked Sims" -> Melina -> (I tried all 3 strengths). Why oh why can't Ludvig see just how beautiful Melina is? ? (random pic of them attached) I love the mod and the community, thanks for all the awesome stuff, you are all awesome ❤️ -johnz Edit: I noticed Ludvig has the trait "Shallow" so he won't have sex with sims that are less than very attractive, so I changed my current household to Melina and asked him to have sex and he said yes, I also tried "Scope the Surroundings" on Melina and Ludvig didn't get any "Perceived as X" either.

My guess is WW hasn't had time to generate all the sims attractiveness details. Generate them faster using WW to set up attractions. You can force him or her to base their attractions on each other but don't ask me how, lol. @BatDood is rather well versed in this so maybe he can help out Or someone else that knows more about it. Or read more here: https://turbodriver.itch.io/wickedwhims/devlog/137127/attractiveness-good-looking
BatDood Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 @Scorpio Thanks for the vote of confidence. 10 hours ago, johnnnnnnz said: Edit: I noticed Ludvig has the trait "Shallow" so he won't have sex with sims that are less than very attractive, so I changed my current household to Melina and asked him to have sex and he said yes, I also tried "Scope the Surroundings" on Melina and Ludvig didn't get any "Perceived as X" either. If you've based Ludvig's attraction preferences on Melina and "Scope The Surroundings" isn't giving a reaction, then the only thing I can think of is that Ludvig's Gender Preference hasn't been established yet. For instance: if I have a freshly made sim that I start playing, by default the game won't determine their gender preference until they start having romantic interactions with other sims. Basing Attraction on a picked sim always guarantees some reaction from "Scope The Surroundings" but only if that sim has a gender preference for that person (from my experience). As an example: I'm playing a sim that is straight male. If I go to a public lot and scope the surroundings, all other males in the area will not show any Attraction because my male sim is not attracted to other males. If you have MCCC, you can check or set Ludvig's gender preference by doing the following: Click on Ludvig > MCCC > Sim Commands > Maintain Sim > Set Gender Preference > change the value for Female to 100% if it's not already there.

I don't believe any of the reports will show anything unless it's generating some kind of error. Hmm...this is puzzling. I've played with the Attraction system enabled for awhile but I am by no means a pro. But I can say that once I've generated my preferences for either gender, all of my sims of that gender are rated. Not just some of them. And 100% of the time if I base my Attraction on a picked sim, that sim will always be Extremely Attractive. At this point, a few questions are in order: 1) Does Ludvig have attractiveness results for other sims? If no.... 2) Do you have the Attractiveness system fully enabled (stupid question but it needs to be asked) 3) Are you running any other mods that affect relationships or romance? (If so, it could be messing with WW) 4) Did you check the Sim Profile for Melina to see if an Attraction rating was created? (He might already think she's very attractive but Scoping doesn't indicate it. It should though). Maybe start by deleting your localthumbcache file in your game folder and regenerate Ludvig's preferences based on Melina.
TURBODRIVER Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 This is pretty confusing. Every time you talk with a Sim, the Sim Profile attempts to be updated with the information on what the played Sim thinks of the other Sim. Based on the picture, the only cases that I can think of where that wouldn't happen is if that Sim gender doesn't fit your Sim gender preference, they are family, or one of the Sims is Attractiveness Ambivalent. There are other things like age or if they are a robot, but I assume this won't apply here. Scoping follows the same rules. Something makes their pair invalid, but there are only these few basic checks. I've never seen something like this.

I've never seen something like this. I've never experienced this myself so that's why I've been trying to figure out what's going on. At this point I'm thinking it's either a conflicting mod or possibly a corrupted save. Ludvig has lived for 121 days so it wouldn't surprise me and I've seen stranger things as a result of a bad save. @johnnnnnnz Maybe try starting a new save to see if it's causing any issues. You could even save both Ludvig and Melina to your gallery and then import them to the new save to see what happens.
johnnnnnnz Posted April 1, 2021 Author Posted April 1, 2021 So... After a lot of testing I figured out that Melina was bugged, she was the only one where the attractiveness system didn't work... I tried out a lot of stuff and now I got it working, here's what I did: MCCC -> Flag active sim -> Clear flags Wickedwhims -> remove all the traits (cumslut etc) Attractiveness -> develop Melina's preferences -> Random -> Light (did it 2 times and waiting for some time) And that got it working for some reason

Love your work man! Edit: Eeeeh not sure what just happened, in my old save files it also works now? I am confused

I am confused When you say your old save files, are you talking about previous backup saves or the save you were having the issue with? If the problem save is still giving you an issue, I would probably delete it as it very well could be a corrupt save and you don't know what other issues could spring up. Either that or try a save cleaning. Personally I wouldn't trust it, cleaned or not. Good to hear that you got it working though.
johnnnnnnz Posted April 2, 2021 Author Posted April 2, 2021 Yeah I meant previously saves, the old ones where I hadn't done "the fix" yet
