TheDragonBorn Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 so i primarily used ece but switched to racemenu to try a couple features out but was unaware of the negative side effects it would have on my PC. i switched back to ece, by uninstalling RM but no luck my character was still a mess, i need to get my character working on ece again so i uninstalled ece and reinstalled it, loaded my preset in slot load and its not recognizing my presets anymore...i have my presets in the cme saves folder but its not recognizing them. any advice would be appreciated

If you have the original ECE presets in your CME_Save folder (named _xx_commonTriRaces.slot), ECE should find and use them. You didn't say, but it sounds like you're trying to continue your game after installing and uninstalling RaceMenu. Go back to a save from before you installed RaceMenu. Your character should look fine (if not, are you sure that you fully removed RaceMenu?) From that earlier save, you can also test your presets to verify that they're working. Don't try to keep going after installing and removing a mod (if that's what you were doing).

I suggest trying a new game. If RaceMenu is completely gone, your presets should work, so you'll have saved the great amount of work that you put into them. You'll have to decide if restarting is worthwhile. If a new game doesn't work, check carefully that you've removed every trace of RaceMenu.
