DINODAD789 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I have downloaded SOS multiple times off of this website and others. I use vortex mod organizer and I’ve gotten many other mods to work. Every time I download SOS it doesn’t work, I either crash when I start the game or I still have my underwear on and SOS doesn’t show up in MCM, furthermore SOS doesn’t show up in the in-game load order. My SKSE is up to date, XP32 is downloaded and the SOS compatibility box is checked. Sometimes when I have the mod downloaded it says I have a invalid dll (error code 193) and won’t let me start the game, other times I can play the game but SOS doesn’t show up in the load order or MCM as I said. Any ideas, help or links to downloads I haven’t tried yet will be much appreciated. Also I am new to modding but am getting a grasp on it through trial and error.
monsta88 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 You need this skeleton. If your character wears underwear, it means you are either using vanilla bodies, or you built underwear version of the body you are using. What kind of body you are using?

I already have that mod downloaded (XPMSSE) and when I installed it I checked the SOS compatibility box. I do not know what body I am using so I assume I am using the vanilla body, though I do have a few beauty mods installed, I don't believe that is what you are referring to.

Then there is your problem. Check out some tutorials how to use CBBE body and Bodyslide. It is not very difficult, and you will have your problem solved.

I wouldn't get SOS from other websites, the original statement in the original version of SOS (for regular/LE Skyrim) says that SOS should only be hosted in this website. 48 minutes ago, DINODAD789 said: I use vortex mod organizer You named two different mod managers. I guess you're talking about Vortex and mixed "mod manager" with "mod organizer" (a mod manager on its own). Just nitpicking here, I'm quoting this almost as an unfunny joke to myself, but it could cause confusion if you throw those names separately or out of context. 48 minutes ago, DINODAD789 said: Sometimes when I have the mod downloaded it says I have a invalid dll (error code 193) This would happen if you use SOS from LE/regular Skyrim instead of the ported version for Skyrim SE. The port can be found here. And you should pay attention to the requirement, specially the required SKSE version (note that as almost any mod made for SKSE 2.0.17 it also work with SKSE 2.0.19). 48 minutes ago, DINODAD789 said: other times I can play the game but SOS doesn’t show up in the load order or MCM as I said. My only advice here is to verify you installed the correct version properly and that it is actually enabled in your mods/loadorder. As for the skeleton, the recommended thing here is to not use the skeletons from SOS (you can disable it in the installer) and use the XPMSSE instead (even if you disable the SOS skeletons you should set your conflict rules so XPMSSE loads its files after SOS).

Just go here and make sure you have all the requirements:
DINODAD789 Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 For future reference I was able to get SOS to show up on MCM by typing this into the console "setstage configmanagerinstance 1" Thank you Monsta88 and Just Don't, help was much appreciated. Hope this helps someone.
