How to rebuild a new BHUNP body in Bodyslide Studio?

Hi there.

The discription in Nexus BHUNP body mod's page is very poor. The author "assumes" we know so good as he does, to re-creating bodies in Bodyslide studio.
I'm opening the tool, I'm pressing the far bottom left button to create the body (of my own preset) and I see... dozen of options to check. WHICH OF ALL THESE should I check to rebuild my own BHUNP body???

It's rather simple to generate the player body (although daunting at first, or it was for me and likely anyone else not familiar with Skyrim or other game s with this functionally), and the authors of Bodyslide provide a link to full documentation on the mod page, but a quick and dirty answer is as follows...

  1. Choose a BHUNP body from the Body/Outfit selector (ex: BHUNP 3BBB Advanced ygnord)
  2. Choose a BHUNP preset from the preset selector (ex: BHUNP - 7B Bcup)
  3. Click the Preview button  at the bottom center of the Bodyslide application (so you can review your choice)
  4. If desired, (recommended) change the preset while viewing the preset window to change the body shape until you find one that appeals to you.
Make sure it's a BHUNP preset. Using others will likely result in unexpected and unwanted behavior
  5. If desired, make baseline adjustments to the selected figure using the Bodyslide sliders
  6. If you want to use racemenu later to fine tune your body in-game, check the Build Morphs checkbox on the lower left of the Bodyslide application
  7. Finally, click the Build button located at the bottom center of the Bodyslide application to build your player body

Note: if you make changes to sliders, I'd recommend that you Save As... your modified preset using a name like "player_naked_preset" or similar, so you can refer to it again later on, which you will likely want to do, for fitting clothing/armor for instance.

Afterwards, please visit the Bodyslide and Outfit Studio mod page and read the description tab thoroughly, then visit the link provided by the authors to their documentation and guides so you can learn more about the other things you'll need or want to do later using Bodyslide and Outfit Studio.

Well, it has a bunch of options. YGnord is a custom race that is optional in installation. You can have separate bodies for it and anyone else. Wich is handy if you want to save some performace, you can build Advanced body and limbs for YGnord and use it for PC, while having everyone else use simplier version. You can untick race in install option and run the same body for everything if you wish so.

With that clarified - just batch build everything. Bottom left corner button, tick "build morphs" near it. It will automaticly ask you to chose between options that affect the same mesh.

Basicly TBBP - fake physics, cheapest option. 3bbb - actual physics. 3bbb advanced - high poly version of previous.

idk what extra it has or doesn't have. FTR, "ex:" commonly means "for example" or "for instance", similar to the use of "eg". Your choice of which body to use is up to you, However, whichever one you choose, if you want a BHUNP body, it needs to be from the BHUNP family.  I was not specifying that you have to use the specific one I noted.

If you want to know the differences between the various BHUNP body types, I'd recommend you visit the BHUNP mod page and read the description and any other help available from the description tab or from the "posts" tab.

And again, just as a reminder, the preset used for that body MUST (or should anyway) be from the same body type family as well (ex: BHUNP Body >> BHUP preset, CBBE body >> CBBE Preset, CBBE-3BBB  body >> CBBE-3BBB preset, etc etc)  Failing to do so will very likely lead to frustration and more time wasted solving problems than playing the game.

Same for clothing and armor. when you select armors and clothing bodyslides to download/install for your player, you should  stick to armors and clothing that are specified to work with your body type.  (There are ways to deal with these things when a suitable armor or clothing isn't available, but that's a more advanced subject and not germane to your novitiate query)

good luck

yw... Do make sure to keep what I said in mind about using "bodyslide" assets (presets, clothing, armor) designed for use with  (compliant with) your body type, since the reference body used when designing those assets can make or break any effort to build bodies or fit wearables.
