aggiten Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Hello I´m german and my english is very bad.I want to ask. What is BunAway and BunX? Thanks for help.
DoctaSax Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 BunX is a contraceptive, like the pill.Bunaway causes an abortion.
ChancellorKremlin Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I've never really "gotten" the bun references either, I think non-native English speakers struggle with it. Personally, I'd much prefer "BabyMaekGoAwayX" and "GoodBabyIsNoBaby!X!" but hey... I just work here. Also, wrong section.

Afterwards, yes, but as far as expressions go, it isn't among my favourites.

I thought Bun in the Oven would be pretty universal among English speakers, somewhere back in the earliest days of Pregnancy I asked for suggestions on they seemed to be the best responses I got at the time, I just went through changing FertX to FertEz as it made more sense, and TranqX (which wasn't really used yet) to SleepEz
DoctaSax Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I think bunx & bunaway fit the setting just fine.
ChancellorKremlin Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing the decision to use it in game, nor am I saying it doesn't "fit" - I was merely commenting on the actual RL linguistic use of the word "bun" and how I've come across a few people (all foreign) to which the expression seems... odd. But then again, each and every language has one of those. It was merely a curiosity, not a suggestion or anything.
DoctaSax Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Well, along those lines, I've never thought to myself "hey, a vagina looks like a cat" either
Halstrom Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 There should be notes now when they are first added that explain their use, I'll check them incase they can be further clarified, but it's possible some people just don't read them.
