I have a question on how to properly install the CBO vanilla option. Do I replace all the CBO files with the ones that are in the CBO vanilla, overwriting them? Or do I add the CBO Vanilla mod and it contents as an additional mod? I have bene assuming I replace, but additionally "vanilla" has it's own uniquely named .mod file, so I don't know if I should be using that instead of the CBO mod file. 

 

Also, I have both the latest versions of the ECE and CFP mods and their recently released compatch, based on what I read above, is the current version of CBO not compatible with these mods?

It's completely about Regula, I've done play tests with just Carn and Regula, same result. Sorry for asking here, it wasn't CBO is what I think now.

I'm also trying to get CBO to work with AGOT, but the Targaryens' skin ended up green.  Also, I tried CBO with LotR: Realms in Exile, and many characters end up hunched over.  I have to assume the models aren't matching up, and CBO just doesn't work with overhaul mods which mess with the characters.  Has anyone had success in using this with overhaul mods?

The installation page clearly stated the mod order; the vanilla mod is a separate mod that modifies the regular CBO.  You don't need to manually replace anything, just load both.  It clearly stated you load CBO then CBO vanilla.  I'm not sure about your questions regarding compatibility with other mods; I'm having issues there myself.

I appreciate the much clearer answer than what the description page says. It may seem obvious, but it's not. I just came from a different game where it is very common to just overwrite files to make the kind of changes that vanilla does, rather than adding more mods that just modify another version of same. I already had it right, but I wanted to be certain, thanks again.

I'm having a new issue I've not had before. I can't be certain it's this mod, but as far as I'm aware, the carnal court mod included in CBO is where we get the bedroom court scene correct? My problem is that at some point during a my playthrough, I no longer have access to the bedroom chambers when I click "carnal court make love" It takes me to the throne room instead, and even though all the options are there to cycle through animations, it's just the throne room. Is this a known issue of some sort? CBO is near the bottom of my load order, Carnalitas is right above it. I have CBO vanilla right below it. I have Intimate Encounters installed as well, but recently disabled that to trouble shoot and still didn't get the bed scenes. My next move will be to completely removed the CBO and Carnalitas mods and reinstall, but I hope it's not something baked into a save game at this point.

There are 3 files, clicking the top one labeled, "Vd8wTabD" is the main mod. It has both the ".mod" file and the folder package. I just checked again, it is all still there, not sure why the file name is so odd but that's the one to use for CBO main.

After starting a new game and building a new playset that is all the same mods I had in the one that has the problem I have been having above, the carnal court bedroom and animations worked fine. I then loaded the new playset with my existing game and the problem has returned. So this is definitely some glitch that has occurred on that profile, which sucks since I'm well into it. I can only assume that some other element of the game that occurs sometime as the game progresses is what has caused this conflict. It could be once I started upgrading my throne room, it could be having a grand tournament, or a grand feast, or anything. All I know is that with the exact same playset loaded for both profiles, the early game one works fine, just as the other one originally did, and my more advanced profile is fuc*ed. If anyone has any insight as to how I could fix this or why it happened, so I can avoid it happening again, please respond. In the meantime I guess I'm starting a new game.

One thing that I have been scratching my head over for almost 2 days now is the issue of CBO options overflowing the screen from the bottom, while used with barbershop. I play at 100% scaling and I even tried mods like Better UI scaling, all to no avail. The only solution is to decrease graphic scaling to lower than 70%, which makes everything so small that the game becomes unplayable. Anyone has any solutions or workarounds for this? Thanks a lot for all the help

Well it happened again. At some point for no apparent reason my Carnal Court make love bedroom animation scene doesn't trigger and instead I get sent to the throne room where I sit on a throne nude, while I can helplessly click through the interactions and pretend I'm having fun. Troubleshooting this has been a problem because the 12 month cooldown that is inflicted upon us by the CBO love making interaction keeps me from being able to make a game decision, and then check to see if said decision is what causes the glitch, I have to wait a damn year and a multitude of decisions and interactions occur in a game year. I'm beginning to wonder if it is connected in some way to vanilla court interactions, such as upgrading my court, grandeur levels, or adding trophies or banners, or even events like grand tours, these are all things that occur and are altered in that 12 month span. Is there a way to remove or lower the cooldown time in the CBO Carnal Court code? Once upon a time if I had several lovers I could space out the love making scene so I could not have to wait the 12 months, but for some reason, now, they are all linked together, so even if I had 12 lovers I still have to wait an entire year for any of them. This is another issue that I can't explain, nor should be the case. Another glitch I imagine, or mods not playing well together.

As far as I know, this 12 months cooldown comes from Carnalitas. There is a game rule that removes it.

You can change this too by modifying the follow txt arquive:
C:\...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\Carnalitas\common\script_values\carn_sex_interaction_values
 

On the second line change the value. The numbers refers to the months (12 =1 year).

I figured it out, once I removed the 12 month cooldown in the game rules (what a dummy I am) I was able to troubleshoot this much easier and faster since I basically made love after almost every decision I made. The glitch occurs when I move my realm capital to another county. I thought this was an odd for that to break the carnal court bedroom scene, so I increased the county development to 100, still didn't matter. But them I remembered that I had started a new game previously in a location that caused the glitch from day one, as in, it never worked in that game at all. Which made me mistakenly dig through my mod list again and mess with load orders and shit. So now I am wondering if there is a problem with specific courts in certain geographical areas of the map, or certain cultures.

 

Regarding MEGA's greed. I'm not sure what you mean, I downloaded it for free.

A few versions ago, Carnal Court indeed didn't work well in some cultures, but by then this has been fixed. Now that CBO and Carnal Court are one mod, maybe that problem has returned.

 

In your tests, you can look at the following txt arquive to maybe find some information about this bug:
C:\...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\logs\error
Of course, this won't tell exactly what the problem is, but it can help you filter out what the reasons would be.

About MEGA's greed, I meant about the download limit that some users (myself included) face when trying to download CBO. Only allowing us to complete it if we create a premium account. Which is quite frustrating since it's the only link available to get this mod.

Hey that worked! Thanks for the suggestion. So I suppose fullscreen barbershop isnt compatible with cbo, as I was using the latest version of that mod.

Female Characters seem to be detected as Male.

I can change penis size and cannot change bust size etc when my character is female.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on the cause? Been looking for a solution but can't seem to find it.

Is the download limit different in different countries or something? I was able to download the entire file as well as vanilla CBO, and as I mentioned, I have a free account. I know the limit was close, but it still worked. I have run up against that limit issue with other downloads on Mega though, I just assumed everyone had the same free limit. 

 

Also, thanks for the info on the carnal court situation I was in. In the past, when carnal court was a separate mod, I was able to move realm capitals and not have it break, but I wasn't playing in geographical locations I am now. I'm in the far southeast, what would be the Bengal Empire, bordering the Tibetan Empire and the off map China, NE of India proper. However, I also attempted to start a game on the norther edge of the map on, the eastern border of the Siberian Empire. That location didn't allow me to use the carnal court feature right from the beginning.  I'm still playing the same playthrough I had begun when I discovered the issue, and it still works, but I don't dare change realm capitals, which is a bit annoying but not a huge deal.

For free camera you need to use a separate mod (free camera 1.5) or did I do something wrong?
