Help with Gimp

Hi guys i dont know if its off the topic but i have a question; i need help with gimp to extract some textures from some body textures source for my witcher playthrough and gonna copy paste it over my in game body texture so if anyone willing to help i appreaciated a lot.

Gimp isn't a extractor it's for loading .PNG .JPG .TGA .DDS files.

sorry for my bad english but i just want some body and face scars from some body texture dds file so i can use it for my own skyrim body textures

You would need the original files to do this (in Photoshop it would be PSD) where the image is still made of layers. From these you could copy and use the scar layers on your own skin textures but once the layers are merged/flattened into a single layer DDS I don't think you can undo the process. If someone knows otherwise please prove me wrong and explain as it would be super helpful.

So I may have made some inaccurate assumptions based on your original post.

 

What I thought you meant was that you were trying to remove ONLY the scars from a Geralt (Or Ciri, whoever) skin texture to add to your preferred skin texture.

Still assuming that this is the case, when I said "original files" I meant the file(s) that have all the seperate layers, the project file, if you like.
