Neodarkside Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Deleted my old post and remade it. I came back after many months to Sims, prior to the skintone update. I know my default skin tone is broken, but for the life of me I cannot figure out which one it is. Its not appearing with the Sims 4 tray exporter, if I can find it, I have a mod that says it can fix it. Any suggestions? I've tried searching for base, default, detail, nude etc.

Probably why they don't show up with tray exporter. Some have had luck just finding those skin tones and deleting them.
Neodarkside Posted February 22, 2021 Author Posted February 22, 2021 I do use Cmar, but I also recall finding a default skin that I liked, had far better textures for female bodies. I don't recall finding it on LL however.

Or start with the 50/50 method of removing mods/cc instead. Eventually you should be able to isolate it.

I don't think that works because the Default skin is already broken, its not showing up anymore. So doing a 50/50 won't work. I just wish I remembered what its name was, I'm fairly good at putting files into right files for organization but either the file itself was deleted entirely, or its named something other than Default, skin, nude, detail, etc, something that would clue me in as, Hey, this is your default skin
Neodarkside Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 FOUND IT! Why this never appeared under Default or Nude, maybe because it was all one word. Plus in a folder with the rest of Wild guys stuff. Either way. @wild_guy you absolute LEGEND, its also updated for the patch

FBD has to load before WW to work properly so add a ! or _ in front of the folder name or rename it to FBD. In this case Load Order matters.

I downloaded the new version, replaced it and it works for me. I've never had much problem with load order in the past.

Installation Copy 'FBD' folder to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder, that's all. If you have Island Living, copy [Fix] wild_guy EA Mermaid Tails.package to your Mods folder. You don't need to use any other such fix like Anto's one.

I asked how to find a default skin because the original was broken with the skin update patch awhile back. I found what it was a bit later and also found it was updated, even said thanks to the mod author to give credit where credit is due. All I said was, the skin has been in the same folder its always been in and has worked just fine ever since I downloaded it, it just needed to be updated, which I did. The original file folder is named what it is because thats how the original file folder was extracted from the original file I downloaded YEARS ago. I don't see a point in mucking with it or load order as its working just fine right now. Thats all I wanted to do,

Sorry, my bad, you should have just said so before in post #8 Only because others have had problems with the wrong load order and I didn't know what yours was. Glad you got it solved though

Glad you got it solved though Thought I did, well, didn't actually say it worked in post 6, just that I found the broken default skin and replaced it. Either way, now... I need to go thru a bunch of mods and see if they need updating. I might just gut my entire Mods folder and if I find something bugging me, go in search of a mod that might be updated.
