Leggo_bro Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I'm new to PC and I'm trying to get sexlab to work using MO2. However when I load into the game it says "Outdated or Skyrim install detected..." but when I go to steam there isn't an update for SSE. How do I fix this and get it to work?
Andy14 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Not only SKSE, but also many other mods are available in 2 versions. Once for LE and once for SE. Make sure that you are using the correct mod versions and make sure that Skyrim is not started with the TES-Launcher, but with the SKSE-Launcher. The SKSE-Launcher can be set in MO / MO2.

I also start it with SKSE in MO2. What should I do from here, if the mod is SSE.
Just Don't Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 All you need to do is check the source for the file you downloaded and installed. If it's for SE you'll know it. Because the post hosting the SE version has big red letters saying that build is for SE only. And that post/download is also in one of the SE sections of the forum (spoiler: you posted this in the support section for regular Skyrim, so it's a bad start). As you say it's warning you about an outdated Skyrim version you likely got the wrong version of SL or another mod checking for the game version (LE is 1.9.something, SE is only 1.5.97). So yeah, rookie mistake, easy to made, easy to fix. Start by looking into the SE specific forum sections (just take a look at the forum names for the Skyrim category) and check the pinned threads in there. Example of SE sections https://www.loverslab.com/forum/315-downloads-sexlab-framework-se/ https://www.loverslab.com/forum/72-skyrim-special-edition/ As you're trying to get SE to work and you're already using MO2 I'd suggest to at least check the guide I wrote about this very matter. It's a pinned thread in the SE section and you also have a link in my signature. Good luck and don't rush it.
