Weird Blue Lines On Screen

Whenever I play Oblivion I'm noticing some weird light blue lines on the left side and top screen. Its only on that spot, I tried changing resolution but that didn't change anything. I just noticed it today. Not sure if a mod is causing it. But here's my load order. I just use LOOT to sort things.

Try playing a different game and see if the lines show up.  You could be having a video card or monitor going bad.

It seems to be exclusive to Oblivion.

Very odd.  Not sure what to tell you.

commonly its a power supply problem, when u run some high resolution or rich graphic games if the VGA is not bad ( 1G ram VGA and higher ) and that BLUE LINES happen then its 95% power supply problem ... change or check your pc with higher ( watt ) power supply ... and stop run or play and game or program that case this blue line because this can  fried your VGA card .

I don't have a VGA cord? I use HDMI. So I need to get a new PSU?

Just check other good PSU in your PC ( in maintenance shop - from friend computer - ....   ), then when u are certain its a cause of your problem buy new one & higher ( watt ) is better .

I seriously doubt that a line around the "outside" of the game window is your PSU or your video card.  He clearly stated it is ONLY with Oblivion and doesn't appear with any other game or in windows.  So a hardware issue, my ass.  Now if you get blue lines all across your screen during all games and/or with windows itself then yes, that is most likely a hardware issue.  More on this:  https://www.guidingtech.com/solve-vertical-blue-lines-appearing-on-laptop-screen/

 

It is just a driver issue with a very, very, very old game.  If you can't live with it (remember, 99.99% of the time, messing with shit just makes things worse - if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!), then you can try updating your device drivers (monitor and video card).  That may make it go away.  You can also try playing the game in windowed mode.  That may get rid of it too.  Also, try disabling v.sync.  Sometimes that causes issues.

Retired Oblivion Boomer to the rescue...


Those lines are due to the in-game Anti-Aliasing being on, switch it off and use the gpu's AA and/or ENB/OR's AA and they will be gone.
