Nibbles' Animation Pack 5.71 SE Conversion

I've never attempted a conversion myself until Nibble's 5.71 when I couldn't find an updated one. I've tried both Cathedral and the other method, and it's obvious I'm doing something wrong. I can get it to the point where MO and LOOT quit telling me it's not for SE, but if the animations do work, they only work for one of the actors. The version currently available for SE is a bit outdated and doesn't feature SirNibbles' new animations, but it's one of the most well done packs out there. Nibbles has said they have no interest in SE, and that's fine,  so I won't bother them with it. Can someone who is good at this try running a conversion, or at least point me in the right direction? I'd be grateful.

Thanks

Everybody says jump to SE it's the definitive edition, then we get here and it's like oh yeah half those mods you want don't exist ?

But yeah I second this, just gonna have to stick with .51 or whatever for now though.

I do get your frustration, i was also unpleasantly surprised surprised when i realized that several top notch animators dont really maintain SE versions.

With that said, statement that SE is a superior platform is true. There arent many mods that take advantage of it thou.

I would disagree, I crash just as much and performance is just as bad in places where it was bad in LE, like standing outside Dragonsreach and looking over Whiterun, SE loves to freeze permanently like nobodies business too, but that just seems like an alternate way of crashing.
SE also looks a helluva lot uglier than LE when fully modded out.

And like you say modding support is incredibly patchy, most of the time you gotta be putting stuff together yourself to get anything to work or get it like it is in LE.

If you know how to keep your game stable though I find LE incredibly stable, it does everything and has everything, and the only downfall are lazy modders who refuse to optimize their mods to run on LE.

Maybe the same could be said about keeping SE stable but I've barely got any mods on it and it still perma-freezes all the time.

You main issue is prolly your computers specs or that your optimization is wack other wise dont get flustered at the modders about it cause in the end they do this of there own free will

Thanks - what version is this, 5.71 like in the thread title?

Since this isn't an fomod like the 5.52 one - the NibblesAnimObjects.esp in the update is the one containing creatures, so there's no option of reducing the animation load even by deleting the repective files from SLAnims\json and SLAnims\source?

Old ass thread, but I managed to convert 5.81 from LE to SE. Happy modding!

NIbblesAnim581.7z 37.21 MB · 7,071 downloads

The file appears to be missing a textures folder for the "Creature + Object Animations" option so it throws an error in MO2 if you select all the top checkboxes.

I *think* the correct fix is just to copy the textures folder from the Objects one to the "Creature + Object Animations" one, and rezip it. However, I think the original just had empty folders assuming you'd install the textures from the objects in the previous selection. Not sure!
