otterpotter778 Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Heyo, I got a bit of a problem with my animations not working or running properly, I don't really know how to fix it. Whenever I start up a new game or load a game all the npcs and characters don't do anything and neither can I. I have tried disabling all my mods as well and made sure FNIS is running though the problem remains, so I don't know if I just have to reinstall it or if there is some other way to fix it, if there is could you describe it in a rather simple and easy way cause I am not good with technical issues
Psalam Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 If it is not too much trouble, run FNIS again (as you usually do). Then copy the output (select and use Ctrl+C) and come back here and post it in a spoiler (the spoiler is the eye icon on the bar above where you type. It is immediately to the left of the smiling face emoji icon. Then paste (Ctrl+V) the FNIS output into it).

Sorry if it's not what you were referencing, I am really not good with this type of stuff. I also use vortex if that has any effect Spoiler FNIS Behavior V7.6 1/22/2021 12:40:19 PM Skyrim 32bit: 1.9.32.0 - D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones) male: Default (99 bones) Patch: "GENDER Specific Animations" Patch: "SKELETON Arm Fix" Reading Defeat V5 ... What it tells me is that your game is trying to use the vanilla Skyrim skeleton. What you need is this: The third file down (when you click on "Download this File" is the version for LE. The fourth (and final) one listed is the version for SE. If you think you have this file and are getting these FNIS results it means that something is overwriting your skeleton. Move the skeleton further down in your load order.

I try to start a new game and the into text still appears though there is no sound and, the npcs don't do anything, they still have the slight idle animation of them sitting down though the have no text or do anything else, the carts and horses don't move at all either. Spoiler
Grey Cloud Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Rather than jump through hoops to get the correct version from this site, it is simpler to get from Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000 Note that you want the version with only one S in the name. Once it is installed correctly then it should give you this bone count. Skeleton(hkx) female: XPMS2HDT (126 bones) male: XPMS2HDT (126 bones)

That sounds like more than a FNIS problem. Why are they all without armour? Let's start from the beginning. Does the vanilla game work without any mods?

Whichever mod manager you use and whether you deactivate or uninstall all your mods you will need to start a new game to test it. If your game is not working even without mods then you have a problem. Try this for some advice on how to install and configure Skyrim LE. https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.10.0
