Missing WW file

I get this constant message when trying to open my game, this hasn't happened before, until i updated the game. 

all my mods are up to date and in the files where they should be. not sure whats going on?

Game updates usually disable mods, so I'd start by checking the game settings. Mod settings are found in the "Other" category, both "custom content" and "script mods" need to be enabled for WW to work.

well unfortunately i checked that too, everything is enabled, and i even redownloaded the updated mod twice

Sometimes caused by another WW file hidden somewhere else in your Mods.

Or having two different WW versions.

Or having one new file and one old file.

Look in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The SIms 4/Mods/WickedWhimsMod folder

You should only see 2 files named TURBODRIVER and no other files or folders.

One is a script file and one is a package file, (Script files can only be read if they are 1 folder deep in Mods).

Make sure the file dates match.

 

And on occasion when you enable mods and scripts in the game settings they don't always 'stick' when you exit.

Check your gameversion.txt in your TS4 folder and make sure it's 1.69.
