Recommend a reliable controller?

Can anybody recommend a reliable controller (with links) that doesn't cost more then $40? There are SO many brands that I have no idea which is best (and can't justify $50+).

Need a new controller after just TWO years because the Start (and now Select) buttons are worn. Controller was completely fine til started playing PSO2. A week after I started playing the Start button started having seizures constantly opening and closing the Main Menu (fixed it at the time by mapping the Main Menu to the Select Button). Just over 4 months later the problem is back and had to re-map the Main menu back to the Start button since that doesn't work anymore. Right before the problem started just MOVING the analog sticks would trigger the main menu lol.

Was possibly considering it but don't know if 20 bucks is too cheap. The START and SELECT buttons are always the first to wear out for me. Soon as I had the problem(s) in PSO2, the buttons stopped working for ALL my other games.

that's the only controller i have ever used with skyrim,or on computer, never had problem with start/select  For me it is the L1,2 or R1,2 buttons that will end up dorking. You'll get your 20 worth out of it. Sometimes after they start to get some heavy miles, my joysticks will squeak, Not all of them, think I'm on number 4 in 6 years.  Good controller for 20 bucks.
