Game STUCK ON PAUSE

Notice how the word PAUSED ** NEVER GOES AWAY ??

 

After doing EVERYTHING from a repair via Origin to A FRESH UNINSTALL & REINSTALL of the game & my packs (the advice of an EA Game Advisor (which was my next step any other idea they suggested they had not worked)), I too have the conclusion that the current version of TURBODRIVER's Unclogger Mod (Found HERE)

is incompatible with the December update as this is THE ONLY mod I'm aware of that (At least until now) addressed the issue of movement

 

As it is now, my sims SAY & DO ABNSOLUTELY NOTHING (And, as I said before, game commands DO NOT come up

To give you an idea as to what I'm seeing, I made the video below

 

I've COMPLETELY REMOVED the Unclogger Mod from the Mods folder (Though it doesn't LOOK like this mod was the source of the problem BUT IT MIGHT BE ONE of the 9704 ( ? ) problems (Mods) I could be having (Just HOW MANY of those 9704 mods are the problem is the $9,704 simolean question ? )  

 

Ideas as to WHAT ELSE might be causing the problem (As if the task of troubleshooting this wasn't DAUNTING enough?? ? )

Try removing all mods and seeing if the base game runs....add 1 mod at a time and play the game till you discover the culprit....you'll need to delete the localthumbcache.pkg file each time.

Btw do you have the switch streaming mod by kawaiistacie?

Did that.  It does

 

Which is why I said I now have 9,704 potential problems

 

The job now is FINDiNG OUT WHICH ONES are the REAL problems

 

And with Mods (Like TIRBODRIVER's Unclogger Mod?) that are NOT ONLY OUTDATED but HAVE YET TO BE UPDATED, that doesn't help

You have 9704 mods ? or do you mean mods and cc?....cc shouldn't do that so update any mods like basemental...wicked perversions...etc etc....do that and re add them back one at a time...

Some package files are part of CC but as you know, the computer can't distinguish between the two beyond what's in the tray folder but yeah, I right click on the Mods folder & it comes up with over 9700 mods in over 180 folders (Each of them only ONE folder deep like this)

Kinky Whims is obsolete and should be deleted.

 

You could probably make your Mods folder look better with less folders.

I just throw all my animations into one folder named Wicked Animations.

 

I also combine my Hairstyles into a singe folder named Hairstyles.

Subfolders inside don't matter if you want them.

 

I also combine all my clothing cc the same way.

Way too many folders....like scorpio says make folders for hair....bottoms...tops etc.....I'd have a good sort out tbh...you have your documents folder linked to one drive?

I'd unlink it...sims4 and one drive do not get on.

I actually have it synched to MEGA since i'm pretty much forced to reserve OneDrive for my Xbox captures when I say share stuff to Reddit (You can't share to Reddit directly from the Xbox as you can with Twitter from your Xbox

 

And WHILE I TYPING THIS - I got the new home screen (Something else that was an issue) & all I did was delete (After backing them up of course  ) my OTHER folder (That's basically my miscellaneous stuff for which there aren't enough package files to devote a seperate folder for)

 

And WHILE I WAS TYPING THE LAST SENTENCE - The game is now seemingly cured

 

Now all I got to go through the folder I just backed up (Which itself had over 3000 files in it), find out which mods no longer work & (While I'm at it) SPLIT IT IN HALF so there aren't so many files in one folder

 

But thanks for the heads up on Kinky Whims though.  That one & maybe NPC Sex may both be obsolete
