Body Slide build doesnt show in game

Recommended Posts

So i just got Body Slide and I've been trying to save a build for SexLab animations but it shows the default CBBE body every time I load in game and try an animation, even after saving the build and getting a successful saved build message.

https://prnt.sc/w0z034 Which one of these is for the animations? I've tried them all but it still doesn't show in game.

If you don't have CBBE-3BBB (or BHUNP) installed, then CBBE Special is the one you want for a normal CBBE install. but really, you probably want CBBE-3BBB, which has the titles SE 3BBB Body Amazing or SE ygNord 3BBB Body Amazing or similar.

CBBE Body (regular) doesn't support any special animations. CBBE Special supports to actions, but it lacks extended texture support. Whereas, CBBE-3BBB bodies (and BHUNP) support special additions for physics, extended texturing, and so forth.

I have CBBE SMP (3BBB) installed and thats the one I use to edit the build but it still doesnt change it in game.

This is the body that shows up.  https://prnt.sc/w101it

Sounds like you have "females use nudesuit" option enabled in the Sexlab MCM.  Untick that in-game and try starting an animation.

These options were already ticked off by default and havent been ticked on by me. https://prnt.sc/w101op

This is the message that BodySlide shows when I save the build. https://prnt.sc/w1027q

You have CBBE-3BBB installed or CBBE-SMP? Your snapshot indicates you're using the latter. and while *some do use the CBBE-SMP mod for their body, personally, I had nothing but problems with it and immediately moved to CBBE-3BBB

I have CBBE SMP (3BBB) installed as shown here https://prnt.sc/w1d8su, I thought it was required for better physics with animations. Will I still get good  body physics in animations with  just CBBE-3BBB?

Ok some clarifications

  1. BodySlide has nothing to do with Sexlab animations. If you mean having physics during an animation, then yeah. You need to build a physic enabled body model in Bodyslide. In your particular case it would be the "CBBE Body SMP (3BBB)" one (from your 1st screenshot).
  2. If you want that body to have physics you also need HDT-SMP properly installed (available in the Nexus, easy to find).
  3. The CBBE Body SMP (3BBB) body will look exactly like any other body, the shape depends on the Preset you have selected, not the Outfit/Body set you pick.
  4. If you just want HDT-SMP physics "CBBE SMP (3BBB)" is fine. "CBBE 3BBB" is IMO better because you can mix HDT-SMP and CBPC physics, as well as switching between these at the press of a button.

So verify that you're using the Preset you want to define the body shape before building the body, that you're building the proper body set and that you have HDT-SMP correctly installed (as well as any requirement or setting in particular for HDT or CBBE SMP).

I have HDT-SMP installed yes, but my problem is that I'm saving CBBE Body SMP (3BBB) and building it https://prnt.sc/w1eimm but it doesnt show up in game. This is what shows up after I save and build the preset https://prnt.sc/w1ek24

As Tempus suggested, either CBBE-3BBB or CBBE-SMP have the necessary physics and parts. Are you sure there isn't a special body selection for the SMP body? Afaik, in your case, try using CBBE Body SMP (3BBB). and choose an up-to-date SMP body preset. Seems a reasonable guess. If it doesn't work after that, (btw, make sure to check the build morphs checkbox for racemenu support) , then maybe consider replacing CBBE-SMP with CBBE-3BBB

If you were editing the CBBE Curvy (as shown in the screenshot as the currently selected Preset) you need to Save the changes (using the "Save" or "Save as..." button in Bodyslide). Then you build the body set (cbbe smp 3bbb) with your already-edited-and-saved Preset. Only then these changes will be applied.

Where do I check the build morphs checkbox for racemenu support?

I already told you, it's not needed, you can totally use CBBE SMP 3BBB. As long as you follow the install instructions and use it right. You didn't solve the issue, now you switched to CBBE 3BBB but still don't know which body set to build (it's in the mod description, anjen mentioned it too). And if I can rely on what's on your last screenshot, you still have CBBE SMP installed, that's bad.

Your previous screenshots didn't show a CustomPreset or anything alike, that's why I mentioned saving the changes into a Preset before building it. If you still get a different body shape you'll need to verify if your player (or the NPCs) are using unique bodies (custom race or other mod to accomplish that). That would explain why you don't see the body you create in game.

Yeah I had disabled CBBE SMP  previously for 3BBB but now I completely removed it. The mod says to use the 3BBB Body Amazing which i did use to save the build (as seen here https://prnt.sc/w1giok). How do I verify if my NPCS are using unique bodies? Here's my mod load order if there's anything overriding the bodies in game.

That would be a mod you purposely installed. I usually know what I have installed, can't say the same about your loadorder. I don't see anything obvious, but I'm not familiar with every mod listed there and I don't use these unique bodies mod to begin with. So you'll need to check that yourself or wait for others to tell you the answer if they happen to see this thread. Good luck.

Edit: I uninstalled CBBE-SMP and installed CBBE-3BBB, Ill see if it works now, After installing CBBE-3BBB then building my custom preset on the CBBE 3BBB Body Amazing build. It still does not change the default Body skin in game.

build morphs checkbox is located on the bottom left of the Bodyslide application, just right of the "Batch Build" button

The idea of saving a preset (body) is to make sure you can reference it later. Saving the preset won't create the body mesh. Press "Build" to build to body (or feet, or hands, or whatever) or to fit a selected armor/clothing/amulet/etc. But it (the saved preset) *will provide you with "my hawt chick sarah" or "My real tough hero dude" or "my whatever player character body" or for that matter, "my customized follower mesh preset" later on so you can fit clothing and armor to that preset definition, or just to tweak her nekid body (or his as the case might be)

FWIW, I have several for my female player (one nude, and a couple more for various clothing/armor choices) as well as several for various followers.

Bodyslide does not create skins (textures). it creates meshes.... Skeleton > Bodyslide mesh > (racemenu secondary mesh) > skin (ie texture, ie pure, demoniac, mature, etc).

frame/mechanics > chassis > secondary chassis > body panels, paint, chrome etc <<< if you get my drift.

As far as unique bodies are concerned, some follwoer mods provide custom body spec. some even provide bodyslides for them. For the player... you have to install a mod that provides pathing for a unique player body, which will separate the player from the general (NPC). otherwise, at least for females, if you make changes to your body, afaik, all NPC females will also use your body (and skin, and everything. just faces will be different).  There are also a few mods that provide some measure of randomization to the values applied for NPCs, so that every female doesn't have exactly the same body spec.

I checked the build morphs box and built my body on CBBE 3BBB Body Amazing but it still wont show in game. The body's that are showing up on NPCS looks like the default CBBE bodies. Is there a way that CBBE could be overriding Body Slide? https://prnt.sc/w1x82l This is what shows up in my file conflicts for CBBE. No file conflicts for Bodyslide show up though. I'm also only trying to change the bodies for default female NPCs while I play a male character.

My build - https://prnt.sc/w1xb9z The body that keeps showing up - https://prnt.sc/w1xboh

Update: I finally got my build to work on some NPCs like this one https://prnt.sc/w1yzqz but it still doesnt show on some of them like this one https://prnt.sc/w1yzwl. Is there a reason for that? And is there a way I can make it show up on all the NPCs

I'm not sure, but the data path for the meshes *might* have something to do with your problem. I use vortex and a "stock" install, so everything is where Bethesda expects it (cascading from c :/Program Files (x86)/) . Not sure how that works for MO2 and other managers, but you might have some path reference gummed up
