Apahguinsimo Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 After building this outfit in bodyslide, there is an unsightly white triangle on the back of my character's leg as seen here: Spoiler How to get rid of this? The only thing I can think of that would cause it is the outfit is meant for CBBE but the bodyslide files are for UUNP, however the textures (fair skin) otherwise look fine and I have not had this problem with other outfits that are CBBE with UUNP bodyslide files. edit: fixed imgur host
Apahguinsimo Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 has anyone seen this before? I know I've seen it before but can't remember how to or if I fixed it, and haven't been able to figure it out.
Tlam99 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Looks like a hole in the mesh. Does it disappear when taking off boots or lower part of clothing ?
Brisl Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 öhm maybe same issue ... best answer But i think that the author of this thread have a more deeper texture problem as you ... but its are ther same triangles with same color ... maybe the answer of conflabbit is helpfull for u.

To solve that problem the solution is to run Ordenador (with only the create mipmaps box ticked). Not sure what the problem with this particular thread is. Not enough information. To the OP: Have you tried a different skin texture? Is it just the PC or do NPCs have it? Is it just when wearing armour or is it there when naked?
Apahguinsimo Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 Hello, thank you greatly for these replies. @T-lam it is definitely connected to the armor, it does not disappear when any other piece is removed but it disappears when the armor is removed. @Brisl I tried searching too but found nothing, that problem looks very different. I think mine is just a mesh/texture mismatch. @Grey Cloud I've tried CBBE, UNP, and Fair Skin Complexion CBBE and UNP textures. CBBE, UNP, and Fair Skin CBBE all have the triangle, but strangely Fair Skin UNP does not have the triangle even though regular UNP does. It happens on any NPC that wears that armor. And it only happens with this armor, not when naked and not with any other armor that I've tried, and I've tried a lot recently. Problem is I really like the armor and the mashup I made with it so I want to get it working with Fair Skin CBBE. I've definitely seen this problem before in years past but do not remember how I fixed it or if I ever did. Any suggestions on how I can get this mesh to work with CBBE Fair Skin? I could provide the armor mod + bodyslide files if there is a desire for them.
Tlam99 Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 If it's armor related, save game and reload this save right away without exiting.
Apahguinsimo Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 Oh yes I've tried load / reload but it's still there, like it's a hole in the texture.

Tlam99 Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 open the osp or nif in outfit studio if there is a missing knot in the mesh. but this is a thing I always struggle to get it right. There are experts here doing this, hopefully one of those will read this
Apahguinsimo Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 @Brisl It's the Tamer Zereth armor from steam workshop, but I extracted the .bsa so I could use bodyslide files I found for it and this is the version I am using. @T-lam yes I see what you mean, it doesn't look like there's a missing knot. However if I open the bodyslide nif in outfit studio there are two triangles, one on each leg in the same spot. Only the one on the right leg shows up in game. If I switch the textures to Fair Skin UNP then they look right with no triangles in outfit studio and in game. How can I change this so the CBBE textures look right on the mesh? edit: I "fixed" this with a little jury rig: the triangle showed up when using CBBE textures with the UNP body in the bodyslide files, but not a CBBE body. So I found another armor with approximately the same body dimensions that used CBBE, bodyslided that, then opened its mesh and the Zereth mesh in nifskope, deleted the body branch on the Zereth armor, and copied in the body branch from the other armor. I see no clipping and it looks perfect as far as I can see, so that looks like a success. For anyone wondering I used the Bless HZ0101 outfit from Ninistuff 4.0 for the body, and if there's anyone out there who also likes the Zereth armor and wants to use a CBBE body on it I'll share the result: Here still I'd love to get a solution to the original problem, why does this triangle appear on UNP body?

Apahguinsimo Posted December 13, 2020 Author Posted December 13, 2020 I have several other armors that use UNP that do not cause this triangle to appear.
Tlam99 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Copied this from another post, so it's not my product. New project -> load reference -> name and load mesh -> delete any existing body meshes in the outfit by right-clicking it on the right pane and clicking 'delete' -> use the brushes to make the outfit fit the CBBE reference body better (turn it to wireframe by clicking the 'eye' for the mesh a couple of times to help) -> conform all -> go through each slider and use the brushes to fix the clipping -> create a zap for the body under the outfit mesh -> copy weights -> save project as. Or here on LL
Apahguinsimo Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 thanks, I had found this tutorial before but the part I get stuck on is the brushing and sliding to make the body conform to the armor. I will try it again
Submaxie Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 @Apahguinsimo The armor has the skyrim vanilla body and it has holes when you use a custom skin texture. As T-lam pointed out, use outfit studio to replace the body and it will be fixed. This happens due to a UV map problem. This can also be fixed by using Nifskope or Outfit Studio. I have uploaded a video to show how to fix this. Spoiler

Always happy to learn something new in nifskope too.
