Hello everyone!

For me, even after ten years of Skyrim, it is rare i have issue with transparency things. I googled only today to find there is no real fix for ENB and transparency issue, so i wanted to simply remove from clothing item i found today, but could not do.

I removed all transparency from texture already, but it still does not work. So i think it must be in Mesh file, under BSlightingshaderproperty? But i am lost from there.

I added video that shows problem, the clothing item is Melodic Maid Outfit (patreon link but free). I really hope somebody can help me! I can share the mesh or texture here if somebody want to look into but do not want to download huge file. Thank you!

Usually, just edit the Alpha channel . The higher the number, the lower the transparency and inverse

Or, if you have some practice in the image editor, just edit the texture with an image editor (Photoshop, Gimp and / or other)

EDIT

You could also just try to change the cubemap to a darker one like ore_ebony_e

Thank you! Can you elaborate more, do you mean exact "Alpha" value item, or Is another value like "lighting effect"?

I am not sure i understand how cube maps work, and where/ how to replace, also there more help would be so helpful!

"Alpha" value item

It is generally set to 1.000
If you increase the value (double click on the number to edit) for example to 3.000, the transparency should decrease considerably .

Click on the dress part, extend NiTriShape and select BSShadertextureSet

You will then have access to the textures. Keep in mind that melodic often makes dresses with transparencies

Right click on Cubemaps / textures / Choose / yes

Search the Skyrim data folder / textures / Cubemaps for the one you think is most appropriate. In the example the Shinycontrast_e is applied

When you have achieved the result, repeat the operation for both nif

It may also be sufficient to overlap the DDS several times. By doing so, however, you also risk creating too much light on the light parts of the dress

To work around this, I duplicated the layer, added 2 layers of black to break up the highlights . However, consider that you are working on lace. I don't think it's possible to completely remove the transparency

Thank you so so much! I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, none of it really work, first i try alpha to 3, only made it shine like the sun ? adding a different cube map or replace did not help either, and even the texture you nicely did made the body part darker, but did not remove the problem of transparency on frilly shoulder part.

I try some stuff myself and play with lighting shader property tags, by compare it to mesh from similar outfit (backsteppo french maid), the only thing that work is remove "assume shadowmask" tag, it finally remove the transparency! but sadly, i guess it is needed, because at the same time the dress will turn all grey ?

I think i have to give up on it, but i learned some things again, and also saw there is fancy new nifscope out there that you use and i have to get, so thank you again still!

have a great weekend!
