arak2 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Since Installing Snowy Escape, My game has been having extremely slow reactions to actions. when you order a sim to do some action, it takes a lot of time for her to undestand and to do what you select, sometimes the action is even cancelled by the game. Is someone having the same problem around here ? is it mod related or there is other source for this problem? i think it may have something to do with the new mechanics they added (lifestyles/sentiments)

Maybe your computer isn't up to the task anymore?

I've noticed a bit more game lag myself and my sim seems to have a mind of his own while visiting the Mountain. Runs off to go skiing and can't cancel action unless I reset him. Have quite a few script mods and even added a few more over the last 2 days. Didn't notice it so much at Oasis home but need further testing.

Maybe not in conflict but both SE and WW are heavy resource eaters because both are updating sims data in real time. WW also is updating Attractions and Personalities too. And possibly other script mods are doing the same thing. I was getting random LE's but only when renting the lower left lot in the snowy mountain neighborhood. Could not use Control Any Sim mod as the sims would always be shown as 'away' and they were not controllable. (Must have something to do with renting). After returning home to Oasis no more LE's and Control Any Sim worked normal again. Second trip to SE World my sim just went visiting different townies and camping out with them. Visited the Hot Springs but added a kitchen and a bed upstairs so my sim could stay longer if needed. No LE's and Control Any Sim worked normally. Went Skiing and Snowboarding on the Expert Slope for many hours for a couple of days and only one LE. Thinking once your active sim gets all their Lifestyles established things might be less choppy. My game lag has lessened some now but sims still want to do odd things on their own more so than normal but I think it's intended by the games new features. Now that my sim has several Lifestyles like Outdorsy, Traveler, Adrenalin Seeker, etc., he gets bored and sad after returning home. Those new Lifestyles don't really match my sims normal Lifestyle except when visiting the Mountains and doing those new activities.
arak2 Posted November 27, 2020 Author Posted November 27, 2020 is there a mod to remove all lifestyles ? i would not mind taking them down if they are making the game slower.
HorstGas Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 same problem but more intense, i can play a few minutes then my played sim stucks completly. I can switch to a other one and after a few minutes this will also stuck completly.

Haven't seen any yet, but now I'm wondering if something could be disabled in the game settings to turn it off. I really didn't look closely enough at the game settings to check for any.

Easy enough to test just by removing all your script mods to desktop and test in game again. (CC hairstyles, makeup, clothing, etc don't need to be removed). Just don't make any new saves with mods removed. Don't forget to delete your locathumbcache.pkg in your TS4 folder whenever you add, remove, or update mods or game.
