Question about FU

Ok, so I know there's a lot of bad blood between Sayter and LL. This isn't about SxB though.

 

I got a friend who's working on a pretty extensive nudity mod for the game. No sex or anything, just letting everything hang out.

 

Do you think that if he altered the FU sprite sheets to make the races nude, could Sayter get mad at us and retaliate, and more importantly, do you think he would?

It's not so much a matter of could. It's a 100% possibility, a certified confirmed case. He is already pretty aggressive when it comes to speaking to people normally, and would most definitely get mad if you as much as made a mod that changes the sprites and has no direct impact on the objects or gameplay. Somehow he would also write it off as incompatible. That said, retaliation is a bit much, after all, it's more often than not the case that it isn't Sayter who retaliates, but the extremists in his community which drone to their every update. Those people who would go out of their way to post hate comments on other mods because "Papa Sayter said they're bad".

If your FU nude mod does end up getting known among then, and by making a post here you've definitely not made your life easier for keeping it underground, then they'll likely cuss out and wail on anyone using said mod, but rarely do they ever go out of their way to cause trouble. I guess we (Sexbound) are the exception to that...

 

All in all, so long as nobody goes poking Sayter, and you're not redistributing it actively, i don't think their side of things will have much of a beef with you. If you do touch their OC's and Species though, like Vinaslij, i think they will probably throw their salt-crackers at you but that's about it thus far. Hell, Vinaslij has rule34 content and it wasn't taken down yet.

As long as no underage content is included and you make the content from scratch (you can't legally distribute files from a mod/game without permission) then you would be fine.  If you have questions just ask a moderator (we are the ones in purple).

 

Also, report anyone who insults or harasses anyone on this forum.  We don't allow that.

If you were to take some advice, just distribute the mod "underground", Sayter's too much of a baby to see anything from "his" mod even mentioned, the problem is the harassment from his cultist afterwards, he will cry and yell about it, but if you can take that I don't think anything else will happen, you do what you want as long as it is following the forum/discord rules where you will distribute the mod, good luck with the mod anyways

It is sad how Sayter seems to be against people modding their own game to add sex to it. Like, it is our copy of the game, we should be allowed to mod it however we want as long as we aren't doing it to mess with people on regular multiplayer servers. I'm just happy he hasn't stooped to the same level as the Rimworld mod author for Lost Forest.
