Kinky World Relationship Progression fix

In my Sims 3 game. I want to create a world where I can have sex with whomever I want whenever I want to, the other girls know that I have other sex relations and are okay with it. However, every time I whoohoo another sim it increases my relationship with said sim which leads to cheating and drama that I don't want. Is there a way for me to have sex without affecting the relationship growth?

From my experience, as long as you aren't in a romantic relationship, you won't get the Romantic Betrayal moodlet. That includes romantic interest, I'm pretty sure. If you use Seduce, you will automatically become friends or best friends with a sim, but not technically romantically involved with them. Don't kiss sims through the Romantic dialogue option as it will make them a romantic interest of yours. If you want to kiss them, use Kinky Kiss as it doesn't count as a romantic interaction, at least it doesn't in my version of Kinky World. During a playthrough in Bridgeport, I was able to Woohoo with many different sims and we were all cool with each other. In that playthrough I lived with two sims and we were able to Woohoo in front of each other and occasionally 3-way with each other without Romantic Betrayal being a problem. The only drama in my game comes from being a celebrity.

Pretty much NO. But Romantic relationships are what you want to avoid as posted above. I wouldn't worry about the little things for the most part - you're using 'unsupported sex mods' and expecting default game mechanics to always play nice....   NRaas Woohooer has an option to 'Remove Romance on Kiss' which I have as a saved setting for all my games. Kinky Kiss WILL satisfy the requirements for a 'kissing wish' if accepted. You can change the settings in KW to no jealousy. Moodlets happen - there's no way around that and I created a post showing all the possible moodlets in my game - so just get used to going into: NRaas/Intermediate/Moodlets/Remove moodlet.

 

All of us wish we could tune the game to be exactly how we want, but it just doesn't work that way (see any discussion on polygamy), kinda like real life. It's called the Sims for a reason and despite my own feelings about EA and many of the game's mechanics, it still is an amazing piece of code which has attracted the talents of even more amazing people.

I think you need to turn off Jealousy for romance. Nraas - Woohooer - Romance - Jealousy Level - None. At least that is how it is set for me and so far I don't have any problems in that direction with my sims.

I believe there's also an option in the Kinky World Settings to alter the jealously level (haven't played around with it too much).

There is, as well as another one in Woohooer for Woohoo. But I understood that OP didn't have problems with sex, just romance, so I thought they had already set the one in Kinky World. But I might have been mistaken.

I use Woohooer for a few other things myself and the remove romance on kiss works perfectly except on Teens/YA-A-E. Default EA Woohoo isn't the same as Animated Woohoo/Passion/Kinky World and those have their own way of dealing with that.

 

Since teen romance seems inevitable, I role play the situation: Teens are inexperienced and think a kiss or sex makes them instantly in some kind of committed relationship - just ask to be friends. Adults are smart enough to know they can have one night stands or even fuck buddy situations without the drama of a relationship.

 

If one uses NRaas Story Progression and can comprehend the Caste system - one can make changes in there to remove romantic interactions (or add them) between any of the caste groups as well as disallow (or allow) types of relationships. I personally use SP as a one stop shop to remove pregnancy from my game and no matter what other mods 'try' to do - pregnancy ain't happening!

 

The download you linked from Mod the Sims states clearly it creates conflicts which require the player to make changes in the game files they may not be comfortable making, and would need to remember to reverse those changes how ever they see fit if removing the linked mod.

SP is just a mod like ANY other  -  players choose what they want, I like to use SP for it's MUCH BETTER handling of the framework than the default EA story progression which I find simplistic and ineffective in comparison. After using it for awhile - I realized it was capable of so much MORE.

 

Plus I said 'IF' one uses NRaas Story Progression - meaning if they they already USE it - not run out and get it!

 

Regardless, my system can handle everything I choose just fine - I can't say the same for other players whom might be using Potato PC's and can barely run the game with just KW and a couple EP's.....  to each their own!

It wasn't originally like that it was supposed to have been much better. Martin was the one who started the games Story Progression system he had been working on the Sims Franchise since Sims 1. His version while not as complicated as Nraas SP it was 100 times better than what the game has now. But he passed away during development in 2008 he stayed over late to polish up Story Progression he had heart attack and by the time security had found him he was already gone. EA honored his work and long service to the company by gutting and butchering Story Progression into what it is now. 

Martin was one of the kindest, most caring and understanding person you would meet. If you needed advice he would give it, if you needed help he would be more than happy to help, and if you needed a shoulder to cry on he would let you use his. He was not only a mentor but father figure to a few of us. Especially to me as I was just an Intern at that time.

And yet EA can't understand why many of us are so bitter and angry with them. You won't find a former member of the Sims 3 and Sims 4 development teams that has any kind words for EA.

 

I may be a big man I'm 7'5" 420lbs but remembering this has brought tears to my eyes and brought me to my knees as I miss him to this day.

Thank you for sharing these experiences, and thoughts. Most times something is 'wrong' with a game - not a design choice so much as a design misfire - I tend to recognize the meddling of the people spending the money, not the ones using that money to make something special. Examples are everywhere and easily seen in games and movies.

A game studio is one of worst places to work for. Imagine having to mindlessly code something you don't care about and having to totally slaughter something you do care about not being allowed to perfect it because management wants to meet a deadline on top of regularly working 12hr to 18hr days always being exhausted is were most of problems and mistakes come in. There was more than few times that I would go home Friday night fall asleep and wake up Sunday afternoon or even Monday morning.

 

Working in a game studio and for EA in particular can make you feel like this
