Out of Control Breast Physics

Recommended Posts

This looks like a standard thing, but I've been unable to search effectively for it.

Some (not all) NPCs have totally out of control breast physics. If there is a scale that runs HARD ... RIPPLING ... JIGGLING ... QUIVERING ... SHAKING AS IF ELECTROCUTED, they are way over to the right. And often end up pointing up (not up, as in towards the ceiling, but up, as in towards the character's neck, even if they aren't upside down).

I am out of game right now, but will try to get some screenshots into the thread if needed. My hope is someone reads this and says, oh yeah, dummy, that's fixed here or whatever.

Using CBBE, here's the load order.

For some people including me SMP-HDT can get stuck, and start taxing your CPU. If you open the console, and type "smp reset" with out the quotes it should straighten it out. If you are using 3bbb use the key to toggle between smp, and cbp physics. That can also clear it up.

If you're using CBBE-3BB or BHUNP, make sure to assign a hotkey to switch physics between SMP and CBPC

So, when breasts get wonky, (flapping around, are permanently tugged upwards, vibrating uncontrollably. mashed in some way that's unnatural, etc), just click the hotkey once to switch to CBPC mode then back to SMP

for instance, I use F12 for my physics mode hotkey

When I encounter it (which is somewhat routinely), I just click F12 twice in quick succession. As in Click-click No waiting. It's a one-second solution

Alternatively, you can issue a console > smp reset

Bonus two bits of unrequested info FYI: when armor/wig/clothing goes wonky, it's for similar reasons. This hotkey will not solve that, but unequipping the item then reequipping it will. Console smp reset may as well, but tbh, idk.

Note: The one caveat of any SMP reset action (by hotkey or console) is that if you're in an animation, your physics may get locked to CBPC mode for the rest of that animation

PS> If NPCs are doing it, that means they're probably running in SMP mode, which is not a great thing in general, as it's very CPU taxing. Both CBBE-3bbb and BHUNP have spells and hotkeys for assigning CBPC/SMP mode too. Check the MCM

I knew this had to be a known thing. And here I just convinced Shyvana to do things so i could take screenshots.

For understanding, am I correct that this is a product of having 2 competing physics packages, or is it just a bug with SMP that occurs pretty regularly with fleshy bits. Off to explore the MCM now.

[pause]

Well that is interesting. I don't seem to have an MCM with anything to do with physics or anything like that. So something is either not installed or not registering properly. Off to sleuth some more.

No. What do you mean with two competing packages? CBPC and HDT? these are different systems, only one should take effect at once (per body part/bone). It is a common occurrence in SMP if you have inconsistent/extreme FPS (low and high). There are some fixes like Havok Fix or SSE Display Tweaks to get better physic behavior despite your FPS.

You would only have an MCM if you have CBBE 3BBB, I'm not aware of other body types including such feature (as well as switching between CBPC to HDT using hotkeys/spells).

So ... I wonder if I am in a similar situation to the whole oSex/Sexlab thing where I've just installed too much and/or the wrong stuff. Here is what I have loaded in terms of physics, sorted by mod load order.

Is there anything obvious that I am missing or have wrong there?

"CBBE SMP (3BBB)" and "CBBE 3BBB" are two different bodies that provide support for SMP physics. You shouldn't have both installed. Personally I'd go for CBBE 3BBB only (and verify that the body sets built in BodySlide are the 3BBB Amazing ones).

"HDT-SMP" is obviously required and the auto rescale disabler is okay too (optional but recommended to keep it).

Any particular reason why? FWIW, I'm after realism more than jello jiggle, and have a decently midrange rig running the game.

Because you shouldn't be using both CBBE SMP (3BBB) and CBBE 3BBB at the same time.

Repeating the mod description in case you didn't read it: CBBE 3BBB can be configured to use both CBPC and HDT-SMP, has a MCM to configure some settings and you can switch between CBPC/SMP mode in game. If you want to use CBBE SMP (3BBB) go for it, but don't try to use CBBE 3BBB too.

No, sorry, my question was why you preferred CBBE 3BBB over CBBE SMP (3BBB). I understand not to use both at the same time, was trying to get some sense of what the difference was between the two choices.

I disabled SMP, fwiw. Still had the bizarre physics effects, but the console command worked.

If you use CBBE SMP (3BBB) you're limiting your setup to HDT-SMP only. CBBE SMP is not compatible with CBPC at all (according to the description itself, no idea if this has changed since I first tried CBBE SMP). So for me it's just a matter of having more options to tweak things to my liking.

The reason b oils down to this: the evolution was from CBBE > CBBE-Advanced > CBBE-SMP > CBBE-3BBB,

CBBE-3BBB supercedes CBBE-SMP  and as Just Don't suggested, it has more features
