Silvermane84 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 For some strange reason, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but apparently, I can't log on to my account on the Skyrim Nexus community. Please let me know if anyone else has this issue.
HanPL Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Everything is working fine for me but Nexus is loading very slowly.
Contessa Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Sometimes their log-in system goes completely screwy. Only thing you can do is wait it out. It's happened to me a few times.
Cozy Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Nexus is a steaming pile of shit right now. As a community perhaps? In terms of mods available, I still use it and endorse what I like. I have been noticing however that I have been getting more mods off Steam lately simply because The Nexus doesn't have them. I think that may be due to the heavy-handed banning that goes on around there, or perhaps some modders are just sick of some of the more obnoxious members of the community? Either way Steam is really picking up I've noticed. As for me? I don't hate the Nexus, since I just kind of accept it for what it is. A business. It wasn't always a business but it is now, and the administration seems to be coming down rather hard in an attempt to secure their business interests and sponsors. Problem is I think they are are coming down too hard, which is scaring away potential contributors, or they just ban them. Rule of thumb for me, is to keep my mouth shut on the Nexus, quietly download, endorse, and on maybe very rare occasion if a mod is really useful to me give the modder kudo's and maybe leave a friendly concise comment. Too scared to post pics like I used to, or even help people having trouble with mods like I used to, just too weary to get involved. I used to be a pretty active member too, but lately I'm afraid of getting banned for something silly to be honest.

I meant speed wise it was a steaming pile of shit but ya it applies to the community I suppose as well. It is a useful tool however. But ya I just posted a picture and I'm really sketching out about it right now and thinking about taking it down. It just seems like the risk is not worth it. You have to think about copyright issues, if the mod is a port, etc, so much stuff that you have no idea about but they will ban you for without question. It's bullshit.

Please let me know if anyone else has this issue. Some Russkies just hit them hard lately, and they're forced to fix the site and file servers. Also, it's on a weekend so no surprises. Yeah, if you want to keep your account on that corporate state called Nex alive, just say nothing there but download.
