Grey Cloud Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Did this happen before you loaded 220-odd mods onto your game? If the CTD happens in the same place then it is commonly a bad mesh. Your papyrus log and your SexLab log are not going to help. The phrase 'before Riverwood' doesn't say much. Do you mean after a vanilla start? Have you tried a different start?

Most of the mods did run before together so there should be no reason why ... i did however swap some of the mods out for others and didnt reinstall between perhaps this was the problem
Grey Cloud Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 If your game is installed and configured correctly then you do not have to keep reinstalling it every time a problem occurs. The thing is to find the cause of the problem and deal with that. Doing this means you actually learn things which will 1 - help you solve problems quickly and 2 - avoid problems. Reinstalling the entire game and your mods at every sign of trouble means you are likely just repeating the same mistakes which caused you the problem in the first place.
