bernt92 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Hi! So I recently decided to reinstall my MO1 since the previous one had some bugs. I moved the "mods", "overwrite", "profiles" and "downloads" folders to a secure location. Then I downloaded MO1 again and installed the archived version in stem/steamapps/common/skyrim. Then I moved the folders back where they were before in the mentioned path. But, whenever I try to load any saves I have som issues. The first one is that SKSE seems to skip the intro loading screen for skyrim. Like the one with the dragon and the loud noise. I just skips to the main menu right away. It seems it's skipping something. The second and most annyoing issue is that no matter which save I load, the screen closes and goes back to desktop. I have also gotten the warning for the SKSEmempatch not installed from the Crashfixesplugin.ini but I have the SKSE.ini in steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data and I've changed the values to what they should be: Allignheapallocate=1 and Useosallocators=1. So, after reinstalling mod organizer I have a lot of issues so I can't play my game. Do I have to reinstall SKSE as well when reinstalling MO1? Any help appreciated!

And if yes, it's probably not only SKSE. It all depends on how you have installed and used Skyrim and MO previously. Also, keep in mind that you should have with the new installation the same order in left and right pane as in the old one. Otherwise the save files would can have problems to be usable at all. 12 minutes ago, bernt92 said: So I recently decided to reinstall my MO1 since the previous one had some bugs. I wonder what you mean with that and from which old version you switched to which new one? 7 minutes ago, bernt92 said: The first one is that SKSE seems to skip the intro loading screen for skyrim. Sounds like a different skyrim.ini file Your current one would likely have sIntroMovie= sIntroSequence= sMainMenuMovieIntro= where the old one probably had stuff in there. I had to do that manually to get rid of that stupid intro. Rejoice
Grey Cloud Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 This is your third post in as many hours. Whatever you have done to your game has gone wrong. Have you tried starting a new game or only saves? Either figure out what you did wrong by going back and checking what you have done or not done or start again from scratch.
gregathit Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 If you make major changes to your game, throw those old saved games away and start a new game. Trust me, you'll be much happier with the lack of CTD's and bugs if you do.
